About Reel Keeper
Red Tiger Gaming's Reel Keeper slot takes you to the pits of the underworld where you meet the keeper, who happens to be a dragon that closely resembles your mother (bazinga!). In all seriousness, the game looks intimidating but is a simple affair that has some nice features and allows punters to potentially take some of the keeper's credits. Is it for everyone? No, but for those who like dragons, this game aims to be a lot of fun.
Reel Keeper is a 5 reel, 10 payline video slot set in a mountainous area complete with lava flowing in the center. The game's icons are a combination of low-payers like 10, J, Q, K, A, a dragon tooth, a chalice, a crown, and our golden dragon keeper. The game also features a stacked symbol that has a dragon watching over the treasure.
Features in Reel Keeper include wild symbols, stacked wilds, stacked symbols, moving wilds, and free spins. The feature set is pretty simple, but you will see the wilds will pop up a lot. Scatters turn into free spins when you land three on the reels, and the resulting spins can generate locked wilds. The layout and features give the slot a posted return to player percentage (RTP) of 95.7%, which is a bit below the 96% average we see a lot of slots these days. I should note that there's a mobile mode built-in, so you can play this game on your phone or tablet if you want, but the experience is identical no matter where you play.
In terms of gameplay this slot is okay, but there's nothing that really makes it stand out as special. The features do come up frequently enough to keep you intrigued, but there's nothing that makes this game stand out in any one way. With thousands of other slots available to play online, you need that "something" to stand out and give you a reason to keep spinning. I just didn't get that here.
