About Mystery Reels Megaways
Classic style fruit slots are something I usually still enjoy, as they're simple and I can usually follow what's going on. There are a lot of video slots that harken back to the days of these classic games, and they usually are lazy attempts to make a game fast and cash in. Red Tiger Gaming's Mystery Reels Megaways slot is not one of these games. Instead, it uses the BTG Megaways mechanic to bring some interesting play to your screen. Needless to say, I dig this game.
Mystery Reels Megaways is a 6 reel slot that has a variety of payways that are always changing due to the Megaways mechanic. The way this works is by introducing different sized icons, and allowing the game to calculate the paylines on them. This works well with a game like this, as the simple icons are easy to decipher and they look nice whether they're small or large. Icons include cherries, lemons, oranges, plums, grapes, watermelons, horseshoes, bells, stars, and 7s. There's also a mystery symbol that can clone and transform multiple symbols into a better one.
This game has a cascading reels setup, which takes away your winning symbols and replaces them with new ones from above. This feature is great as you can chain wins together on one spin. I've gotten upwards of ten in the past from a single spin.
There are also free spins and a wheel that awards them. You can gamble those free spins for more, but if you lose, you're going to lose all those spins you've accumulated. The slot's setup and features give it a posted return to player percentage (RTP) of 96.2%, which may be the highest for a Red Tiger slot that I've come across. Perhaps this change came after they were acquired by NetEnt, but I'm just speculating.
This slot is a lot of fun in the short term, but I don't know if I could dedicate time to making it one of my favourite online slots. Things do seem to get a bit stale after a while, but hey, that's why there are thousands of games for you to choose from, right?

This game from Red Tiger I really like. I think it was one of the first games from them that I tried. The free spins round has a great winning potential and in general the game is entertaining.
I have a love and hate for Mystery Reels Megaways, it's very up and down,, the original version seemed to win alot more in value wheras this one wins very little in high frequency so I've noticed over the last few months of playing it
Not bad graphics and sound, but my experiences with winnings are mostly negative.
