About Gems Gone Wild Power Reels

I say that if you're going to go hard with something, you should fully lean in and go for it. Red Tiger Gaming has done this with the Gems Gone Wild Power Reels slot, as they've gone fully for the gaudy gems that seem to invade slots from time to time. They also thankfully brought some neat features, and the result is a game that's worthy of your time.

Gems Gone Wild Power Reels is an 8 reel, 6 row, 20 payline slot that takes place in front of a cosmos-style black hole swirl, in yet another game reminiscent of Net Ent's smash hit game Starburst. Symbols are entirely gems, which are simplistic but colourful. You'll find red squares, purple squares, teal circles, blue squares, green squares, a red circle, purple circle, and orange circle gem. The shapes are basic, but they do blend together pretty good and you'll find a reel set that's packed in place.

Features in Gems Gone Wild Power Reels include wild symbols, locked wilds, and super-sized wilds. The game also pays at any point from right to left along its paylines, so you can achieve wins with combinations that don't start on the leftmost reel. Aside from this the features are pretty basic, and I'm surprised we didn't see anything such as the likes of free spins built-in. The game's features and layout give the game a posted return to player percentage (RTP) of 95.7%. This is a bit low for an online slot, but it does fall in line with what we see from Red Tiger's slot machines.

I actually enjoy this game, despite the lack of features in play. The wilds hit a lot, and I love that more than having a pick'em bonus game or anything else. I should mention that Gems Gone Wild Power Reels has mobile support built-in, which lets you play the game on your phone or tablet if you want. The game looks extra sharp on a smaller screen, and if you have the ability to, I think that's the premier way to play.

No matter what way you choose to play, this game is a lot of fun and I have no problem recommending it to those who want to play a gem-filled game that is basic, gaudy, and a blast.
