About Bombuster

Reactor style slots: you either love them or you hate them. The games don't pay off like a normal slot via paylines, instead, they rely on clusters of adjacent symbols in order to generate wins. These games often have a lack of features, instead of relying on cascading reels, which can daisy chain wins together for punters. Red Tiger Gaming's Bombuster slot is a standard reactor style game that brings in bombs to help blast out some extra spaces for winnings.

The game is a 7 reel, 7 row video slot set with a 1980's laser grid-style background. The game's icons are a combination of classic slot symbols such as lemons, oranges, plumbs, 7s, stars, bells, watermelons, cherries, and wild W symbols. These are all simply drawn things that we have all seen a million times before, and don't really do much to give us much in the way of beautiful artwork.

As noted above, the features in Bombuster are simple, with the cascading reels, wild reels, and bombs present to give some life to the game. The bombs are what you'll find the most often. They show up on the reels and lock onto position, exploding when the number of spins connected to their colour passes. Red gets three spins before exploding. Green gets 50 spins and turns everything into the same symbol. Yellow locks for up to 200 spins and then turns everything in its rows wild. Bombs may trigger other nearby bombs when they go off, which can result in a combination of the aforementioned features.

The combined reel layout with features gives Bombuster a return to player percentage of 95.7%, which is about on average with what we see from Red Tiger slots.

I'm a fan of reactor style slots, and this is a typical example of the genre. It's not the best I've played, but I did enjoy the bomb mechanic, which set off quite a bit and landed me some nice wins. The slot is playable on desktop and mobile devices alike. I preferred playing on the phone, as the game looked a bit sharper to me. If you're new to reactor games or are a fan, I think Bombuster has a nice gameplay set that's worthy of your time.
