Luck plays a prominent role in any slot machine, but even more so in Chinese slots, as it seems developers can't grasp more than one or two themes to match to the country of more than 1.3 billion. Playtech has fallen into the pit with their Fortune Jump slot, which plays on traditional themes, but is pretty shallow when it comes to features. This is a real shame when you think about it, as this makes the game unable to stand out among the dozens of other Chinese slot games in existence.
Fortune Jump is a 5 reel, 40 payline video slot that is set against a traditional Chinese backdrop complete with a pagoda, water pool, and golden dragon statue. The game's symbols include traditional slot symbols (Jack, Queen, King, and Ace) that are made to look like Chinese characters as well as a jade stone, statue of an eagle grasping a pearl, an ocean wave painting, a bunch of goldfish jumping up a waterfall, a gold coin, and a goldfish wild symbol.
Feature wise, the game includes wild symbols, scatter symbols, and free spins, which are kicked off when three or more scatters are unveiled on the reels. The game also has a Fortune Jump Bonus, which is awarded after winning spins that have four of a king or more. Two new symbols will then get revealed and swap into the reels, giving you another chance to earn more prizes.
Although I consider this game to be one of the more feature packed Chinese games that I've seen from Playtech. The game is still pretty shallow though when compared to other slots I've played. The game is mediocre, but you could easily have a different opinion. If you end up playing the game, please let us know what you think in the comments below.
