About Fortune Hill

Transport yourself to a world of make believe full of wizards, elves, fairies, and ogres as you play the Fortune Hill slot machine by gaming software developer Playtech, which manages to bring with it an excellent presentation as well as deep gameplay features that may just magically see your pockets filled with gold.

Fortune Hill is a 5 reel, 25 payline video slot that features a whimsical theme that is played out via an excellent video introduction. The gist of the game is that an ogre stole a bunch of mushrooms from the elf and the wizard, retreating with them to his lair. The elf then smokes his pipe and envelops himself into a bubble, stealing back the mushrooms and fleeing from the monster. Players are then given the ability to spin the reels, unveiling the following symbols: 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, ogre, fairy, elf, mushroom, wizard, and a free spins rainbow.

The slot is unique in that the game has a fortune wheel that turns on every spin, allowing you to win multipliers, random wins, random wilds, and sticky symbols. The game also has expanding wilds, free spins, re-spins and a pick'em bonus round dubbed the Magic Mushroom Bonus, wherein players select mushrooms to win big prizes. Playing the Fortune Hill slot, I was struck by how nice the presentation is in this game. There are a lot of features present, but I was disappointed to see just how many times the game came up empty for me during my playing time. More often than not I was left with nothing, and I only managed to set off the free spin mode once and never got to pick any mushrooms in an hour of playtime. Perhaps then it is not so surprising to find that the game's theoretical RTP is just 92.4%, which is very low in terms of what we generally see from online slots.

Overall, Fortune Hill is a cute and fun looking game that is undone by a very low payout rate that is destined to drain your money quickly. It may very well treat you much better than it did me in the short term, and I wholly recommend you check out the game and give it a few spins in fun play mode. But if you're playing for real money, you are best advised to leave this game alone.
