About Leprechaun Goes Wild
Leprechauns are a western symbol of luck, as the little folk stride around Ireland drunkenly, allowing you to catch them and shake them about until gold falls out of their pockets. You can also hold them for ransom, threatening that if they don't show you their pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that you'll sell them to a travelling circus. So I've been told. The title of Play'n Go's Leprechaun Goes Wild slot may allude to some other kind of drunken conduct that these pint-sized men might get up to, but thankfully the game does not go there.
Leprechaun Goes Wild is a 5 reel, 4 row, 20 payline video slot that's set amongst the blue skied, rolling emerald green hills of Ireland, covered with clovers and pagan looking rock statues sitting in the ground. The icons in the game are a variety of standard slot icons (10, J, Q, K, A) as well as theme-specific icons like horseshoes, beer, top-hats, pots of gold, a leprechaun slinging beer, a pipe (full of tobacco), and a four-leaf clover. So yeah, highly original stuff for a slot machine... not.
Features in Leprechauns Go Wild include wild symbols, scatters, and free spins. Two scatters on the reels triggers a bonus feature where you get either a wild symbol randomly placed on all five reels, or an extra scatter which means you have enough to trigger the free spins round. Said free spins mode is attained when players get three or more scatters to appear on the reels, with or without the extra scatter feature. You're then given a wheel of fortune style spin which will determine the number of free spins you get. All the leprechaun wilds are sticky during the free spins which means they stay in place for the duration of the round once they land on the reels, and you can re-trigger more spins.
The layout and features of the game give this slot a theoretical return to player (RTP) percentage of 96.2% when set to its default maximum setting. However Play'n Go does allow operators to choose lower RTP settings, with the lowest available being a distinctly unlucky 84.2%.
There is a mobile mode built in, which lets you play this slot on your smartphone or tablet. Of course, the game is also playable on your desktop computer. If you're feeling lucky you should definitely give Leprechaun Goes Wild a spin, as it provides some good gameplay and features that might just have you feeling the luck of the Irish.
Leprechaun theme is usually not my theme, but I have played this game a few times and I'm pretty pleased. The design is nice and the bonus round is cool with good potential. I've had a few 100x bet winners so far so certainly a decent game.
I like irish themed slots but this one is not on my favorite list because base game very often is sleeping and giving small win just in 20 spins. But bonus game is different story. I had few really great wins. But I dont risk to play this game too long and just keeping a hope to hit bonus in 20-30 spins.
