About Legacy of Dead
Well look what we have here. Legacy of Dead from Play'n Go is yet another retread of the tired Ancient Egyptian slots theme that sounds like it was named by a non English speaker using machine translation. Play'n Go have doubled down on the retreadedness (is that even a word?) by churning out yet another clone of their extremely popular Book of Dead slot, which itself was a rip-off of Novomatic's Book of Ra. Phew. If any of that makes sense to you then you probably already know whether you're going to like this game or not. If not, read on.
Legacy of Dead is a 5 reel, 10 payline video slot that's set in a tomb that belongs to a dead pharaoh. The setting is the same thing we've all seen dozens of times before, and the game mechanics will almost certainly give you the "I've played this game somewhere else before" feeling. The slot icons are a combination of the same standard slot icons that you see in most games such as 10, J, Q, K, A as well as a hawk, King Tut, Anubis, a mummified god, and a scarab box. Scoring a win ends up giving you a bit of animation, but the flair is nothing to write home about.
Features in the game include wilds, scatters, and free spins. Three scatters will set off the free spins bonus round, where you get the chance to see the expanding symbols feature made popular by Book of Ra. The way it works is that when you enter a free spins round one of the game symbols is randomly chosen to be a special expanding symbol. What this means is that any time it shows up on the reels it will expand vertically to fill a whole reel, and then pays like a scatter symbol so you don't even need to have the symbols on adjacent reels. These can help you score some huge wins, especially if you can fill all five reels with the same symbol, but the fact is that there are times you go a long while between hitting these features.
There is also a gamble feature that lets you risk your winnings for a chance to double or quadruple your winnings. Of course you risk losing it all if you pick the wrong colour or suit. The features and layout of the game give Legacy of Dead a default return to player (RTP) percentage of 96.6%, which is a typical number we see from Play'n Go slots. This game is an extremely high volatility slot with a maximum win of 500,000 coins on a spin. This means that it is likely to result in frequent losing session interspersed with occasional huge wins. We will also note that the developer does allow for operators to offer lower payout configurations, with the lowest RTP for this gaming being a deadly 84.6%. So always make sure you check the setting that you are playing at before risking your money.
If you're into the Book of Ra style expanding symbols games then you will no doubt love this game. If you haven't tried that style of game before, it is definitely worth a try to see why they are so popular. However beware the boring theme and the extreme variance, as this is one game that is capable of draining your bankroll quickly.

For me its amazing game. It has great bonus game cause I can get few expanding symbols if I am lucky to retrigger a bonus and also I really had some luck while playing it. Wins like 100-400 x bet is just another day in the office 🙂
I like this game a lot, almost as much as Book of Dead. At first I wasn't too excited just because the features are identical to other Play n Go games, but having had a few wins over 200x bet, I can definitely say it is a game worth trying.
Lover of the classic so enjoyed when this was released, had great payouts on both this and on book of dead. Bonus game is best moment when your high bet and best symbol pops out as the scatter 🙂 love this to heart
Legacy of Dead looks a lot like Book of Dead and Rise of Dead all of these slots are developed by Play'n Go.
I won several times playing Legacy of the dead, I even won 500 times my stake.
