About Dragon Maiden
Dragon Maiden isn't the name of an 80's metal band, nor is it related to a certain mega popular fantasy TV series. Play'n Go's newest fantasy video slot features a flame haired heroine and is set amongst some mystical mountains that sees all sorts of magic and beasts zooming around. You're trying to assemble similar symbols that work to score you big wins.
The game is a 5 reel video slot has 243 ways to win, and is set on a dragon scaled set of reels high amongst some mystical mountains. The game symbols include spades, clubs, hearts, and diamonds (all of which have dragon scales on them), as well as medals, a dagger, a purple ring, a red amulet, and a dragon maiden with the aforementioned flaming red hair. The maiden is a stacked wild symbol and she is able to expand to fill up an entire reel if you are lucky. Features in the game include wilds, scatters, free spins, and expanding reels that make the game feature up to 7,776 ways to win in what the game calls "golden free spins".
The game's artwork is sharp and will be especially attractive for those of you that are into fantasy stories. The game has built in mobile support, and the game is nearly identical to the desktop version, with the only real difference being the touch screen interface.
After a solid play-test what I ended up finding was a series of features that make the game compelling to play. The wilds seem to come through frequently, as does the free spins round which is triggered by three or more dragon head symbols. If you only manage to land two dragon heads they are held for a free re-spin which gives you a second bite at the cherry to trigger the bonus round, hence the frequency.
The cool thing with the free spins is that every time a dragon head scatter symbol is spun it increases the height of the reel it is on. Every reel starts at a height of three symbols, making 243 ways to win, and if you spin a dragon head scatter that particular reel will increase in height to four symbols, increasing the ways to win to 324, and so on. Should you get one of the reel heights to six symbols you are awarded a golden free spin which is spun at the end of the regular free spins round. Golden free spins are run with all five reels set to the maximum height of six symbols, giving you 7776 ways to win on each spin. This mechanic is something I haven't seen before in an online slot machine, and it is always great to see some innovation to spice things up.
If you're a fan of fantasy things like Game of Thrones, then I think Dragon Maiden will end up being a regular game in your slot rotation. Heck, even if you're not the biggest fan, there are enough features here that make this a compelling choice.

For me its a NO for the moment. Base game is too boring for me and bonus game also didnt impress me. To be honest I dont play it often so maybe I should to get better experience but I was very disappointed about my first bonus games.
I'm a big fan of the games with Dragon theme so when I first tried this game out, I was hoping I'd like it. But that wasn't the case. I do like the game design but the payouts are really low. I think the bonus round in theory is interesting but I've never had a win over 100x bet on this game.
