About Pixies vs Pirates
In the world of pirates, we're often used to rum, peg legs, hook hands, and the devious blunderbuss. What we're not used to is pixies, unless of course, you want to follow the story of Peter Pan, as Tinkerbell accompanied the boy on his adventures. The Nolimit City slot Pixies vs Pirates brings the two subjects together without Peter Pan, but does deliver some interesting features that make for a compelling game.
Taking place on the open seas, Pixies vs Pirates is a 6 reel slot that starts with 729 ways to win but can expand up to 11,664 ways to win. The game has somewhat generic visuals, but include the following icons: 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, a blue pirate, a blue pixie, pink pirate, green pixie, red pirate, and a yellow pixie.
Features in the slot include free spins, wilds, nudge reels, stacked symbols, stacked wilds, and transforming wilds. You end up with a posted return to player percentage of 95.9%, which is a bit low for a Nolimit City slot.
The tradeoff for that lower payoff is a game that has more paylines and reels, complete with a bonus round wherein the pixies and pirates go to war. During this battle you get free spins, and paylines are expanded to 11,664 ways to win. You choose your side in this battle, and if your side wins, you get a second battle bonus round with free spins.
Pixies vs Pirates is developed in HTML5 and can be played on desktop or mobile devices alike. The experience is equally great on both, and I loved seeing the battles play out on my iPhone screen, as everything was sharper than a pirate's dagger.
I really liked my time with Pixies vs Pirates. Getting to the battle bonus round was a lot of fun, and I managed to string together three battles before I lost out. This resulted in me getting access to some nice wins. I think this game will dink and dunk you with prizes, but you can score nice wins in those bonus rounds. I think you should definitely give this game a go. It's a better effort than you'll get from a lot of other pirate-themed slots out there.
This game isn't too bad. I'm not necessarily a fan of the game theme but the design is pretty good. I've had a few decent wins on the game and overall I quite enjoy it. I haven't had any major wins but it has been a good balance booster game for me.
Good wins in bonus game but this extreme volatility killing me. Most often I just disappointing and leaving this game early.
