When I first booted the Harlequin Carnival slot, my eyeballs just about melted. This game is decadent in nearly all aspects, with bright white marble as well as lush flowers, costumes, and more all adorning your screen. This game is an interesting experience, bringing those gaudy visuals along with some neat features that make this a must-play.
Harlequin Carnival is a 5 reel, 20 payline video slot set on a marble altar with a bright sunny blue sky in the background. The altar is lined with colorful flowers, and there are bright gold cards that even jump into the reels. Symbols in the game include low paying clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spade cards, as well as higher-paying green masquerade mask, blue bird man, red cat woman, purple moon woman, and yellow and red sun woman. There's also a Harlequin joker woman, who serves as the highest paying icon in the game.
Features include wilds, stacked wilds, nudge reels, walking wilds, and free spins. These features aren't the deepest I've come across, but they are still nice and seem to jump into the action frequently and generate some nice wins. The game's layout and features combine to give Harlequin Carnival a posted return to player percentage (RTP) of 66.1%. It should be noted that the game can have this number lowered at an operator's discretion all the way down to 94.3%, which you should avoid at all costs.
My experience with this slot was positive. It looks fabulous on both desktop and mobile modes, and the gameplay is nice. While the features aren't as deep as some other games, it does a good job of seeing these features hit a lot, which results in decent wins (at least in my experience). I've logged some time with this game and like it enough that I'll be adding it to my save list for future play.
