About Let it Ride Poker

Let it Ride is a popular table poker variation that plays a little bit like a game of Tens or Better video poker. Players place three equal sized bets on the table and have the option of removing a bet before each card is dealt, or "letting it ride". The player is paid for a winning hand based on the paytable which is visible on the felt, and also has the option of playing a side bet which features significantly higher payouts.

Net Entertainment appears to have discontinued this game, which means that we are no longer able to provide a free play version. However we do have an almost identical game from RTG called Let'em Ride.

Let it Ride is essentially a table-based variant of video poker. The "twist" in this game is that you initially place three bets on the table, and have the option of withdrawing one or two of these bets as the cards in your hand are dealt.

Winnings are paid in a similar manner to video poker - a pair of tens or better will result in a winning hand.

How to play Let it Ride

  • Select your chip size at the bottom right of the table and place your bet on the Ante zone. The game will automatically place three bets of equal size on each of the betting zones.
  • Optionally place a side bet in the bonus circle.
  • Hit the deal button, view the first three cards, then choose whether to let your 2nd bet ride or withdraw it from the table.
  • Hit the deal button again and the fourth card will be dealt. Once again you may choose to let your third bet ride or withdraw it from the table.
  • Hit the deal button once again and the fifth card will be dealt and any winnings paid according to the paytable.

Let it Ride strategy

Playing the following strategy will reduce the house edge of this Let it Ride game to around 3.5%:

After three cards have been dealt, you should let it ride if you have:

  • Any winning hand (i.e. a pair of tens or better)
  • Three cards to a royal flush
  • Three suited cards in a row except 2-3-4 and A-2-3
  • Three to a straight flush, spread 4, with at least one high card (ten or better)
  • Three to a straight flush, spread 5, with at least two high cards

After the fourth card has been dealt, you should let it ride if you have:

  • Any winning hand (i.e. a pair of tens or better)
  • Four cards of the same suit
  • Four to an outside straight with at least one high card
  • Four to an outside straight with no high cards
  • Four to an inside straight with 4 high cards
