About Treasures of the Pyramids
I've always wondered what life was really like in Ancient Egypt, but the closest I'll ever get to being a Pharaoh is probably by playing games set back in the period. IGT is giving you the chance to head back in time and rake in some gold in their Treasures of the Pyramids slot, which has a bright and vibrant look to it along with some interesting features.
Treasures of the Pyramids is a 5 reel, 40 payline video slot that bears the oh so original theme of Ancient Egypt that we haven't seen in slot machines a hundred times before (ok, enough sarcasm). The game's symbols include the standard slot symbols (10, J, Q, K, and A) as well as pyramids, a blue ring, a cat medal, pendant, red ring, blue eye, and purple bird. The big symbol in this game is the stacked black panther resting atop a pile of gold which acts as a wild.
The game's main feature is the free spins round which is triggered by the appearance of pyramid scatter symbols. You win 5 free spins for three pyramids, 15 for four pyramids, and a colossal 100 free spins if you manage five pyramids across the reels. Even better than that is that the free spins can be re-triggered while in play, up to a maximum of 600 free spins. Did I mention that during the free spins round, all wins apart from the very top 5 panthers are doubled? 600 free spins at a 2x multiplier... I like the sounds of that.
While the "Egyptian treasures" theme has been well and truly flogged like a dead horse, I really enjoyed my time with Treasures of the Pyramids. I played the game on my desktop and found the sound and graphics to be sharp. The free spins feature is obviously the big drawcard here, and those of you familiar with the game from playing it at your local land casino will no doubt be eager to give it a try.

Like most IGT slots, the animation is functional and smooth, but nothing special. It will not break you down, but it's solid enough not to turn your attention away from the game. Solid slot, can be played!
