We're on the move to a new server

I just wanted to post a heads up that we'll shortly be moving the site over to a new hosting provider, hopefully in a couple of hours time. We have been with the same guys for nearly a decade now but sadly the owner of the hosting company recently passed away and they have decided to shut down the business, which has forced our hand.

We have been quite busy preparing for the move, transferring files and settings over to the new place over the past week. Would you believe we have over 8gb of images on the site? That took ages to move.

When we start to move, the site will be taken offline for a short while so we can backup the database. Once that is done we'll bring it back online but with new comments and posts disabled until the site is restored onto the new host. This will ensure that we don't lose any of your posts or comments that are made on the current old server. Fingers crossed, we expect the new site to be up and running between 2 and 3 hours after we start the move.
