Gold Vip Club Casino - crooked

6 replies • Last post

GOLD VIP CLUB CASINO

I wish I had known about the forums and sites you can go to when making deposits at casinos.

I made a deposit at this casino and won some money. This has been on-going since February. At first they said they needed my bank routing code to send my winnings. Then they tell me they have to send it by wire transfer but I have to make a deposit to do so. Then they told me it was in process- when I checked the site the balance was sitting back in the account again and they told me when I called back that I have to request it once again. CLEARLY they are CROOKED! They have no intention of sending me anything! I hope people read this before they consider using this casino. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CENT!

Normally I don't like to talk trash publicly about an online casino...but in this case - ravenmoonsong - I will have to agree with you on these guys. I have a couple friends that were ripped off by them(never paid) and I myself get more spam from them than any other online casino and I have no fkng clue how they would have obtained my email address.

Yes this casino is shocking. I am sorry you had to find out the hard way ravenmoonsong. I'm sure you know now, but make sure to check our blacklist in future before depositing anywhere new and stick to the casinos we have rated 4 to 5 stars.

I read a guy who complained once was threatened by a casino employee with having his name forwarded to anti child porn authorities. Others have complained about being billed twice on their credit cards. These are very very bad people.

highroller they were caught recruiting spammers at a "black hat" webmasters forum a while back. So there is no doubt that they would be happy to buy/trade/steal player databases from another casino.

A little tip for the future - set up a dedicated casino email address with gmail (it has to be gmail - I don't know of other free email accounts where this works). Then when you sign up at a new casino you can append a bit to the address with a + (plus sign) to make it unique, but it will still deliver to your main address. For example:

Main address: mycasinoaddress @ gmail.com
Signing up at new site: mycasinoaddress+casinoname @ gmail.com

Then later if you start getting spammed or you simply want to cut them off you can filter any emails that are arriving at that address with the plus sign to the bin. Its a lot easier than setting up whole new email accounts every time.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

What can be done about the situation with GoldVIP casino? They just locked my account and confiscated winnings of $8,200 from my account. Here are the details:

I made the following deposits to goldvipclub thru my Capital One credit card. CC Purchases totaled $2798.77.

MAR 19, 2011

Other Services
$524.94

Most deposits did not have any bonus attached. On the last deposit of $524.94 (no bonus taken), I hit a bonus round playing TRex (see attachment) that paid $10,863. I also posted a screenshot of this hit on the website below.

http://www.latestcasinobonuses.com/onlinecasinobonusforum/casinos/winner...

All the deposits I made totaled $2,800.00 per history I've supplied in attachment. On April 2, 2011, I withdrew the entire $11K. I played a bit more after April 2,2011 since money was in "Pending stage" and had the balance up to $11,700. Gold VIP sent me a payment of $700.00 on April 20, 2011. The balance in the account after this was approx. 11K. This casino states on their website that they will pay $2,000 every 10 business days. Note that their business days don't include Thursdays or Fridays. They deal with U.S. customers, so I have no idea why they have this rule in place other than to stall the payouts (finance dept does not work on Thur-Sun). Additionally, after they approve the pending withdrawl, they place the money back into your account balance and therefore you have to make another withdrawl. I'm sure they're hoping you'll gamble this away.

After they approved my payout for only $700, there was a series of emails and phone conversations that took place . During the week of April 18th, I received a call from their payment processor (Global Systems) that "I complained too much" and they were going to credit all my transactions back to the credit card. I then called GoldVIP to find out they locked the account on April 20th. This time they said that the account "had chargebacks". None of this was true because all of the transactions were paid by me in March and the casino did process one payout ($700). All of this was an effort to not pay the total winnings due.

Today, I checked my Capital One statement and the processor credited all 6 transactions I paid the casino in March 2011. Unbelievable! It's as if they wanted to pretend I never played there which was only because I won.

In summary, this is what GoldVIPclub casino still owes:

Balance in account at time of account closure = $11,000 (this includes the payment of $700 they made)

Less credits to credit card = (2,799)

BALANCE DUE = $8,201

I would appreciate any help you can provide or guidance because it is casinos like this that give the entire industry a terrible reputation. I had previously played at this casino prior to this fiasco and they did make a payment of $500 in the past and also assigned a casino host to my account who had sent a gift to my home. I didn't have a problem with them before, but I suspect it's because they were only obligated to a small payout. They are in a rogue class of the worst kind. I can honestly say, I never experienced anything like this and will do everything possible to make this right.

If there's anything else you need from me supporting my case, please let me know as I've saved a lot of documents.

Thank you

Hi Joyce, that is a horrible story but sadly I am not surprised given what I know of this casino and the people who work there. Normally we would do all we can to help but I have to be honest and say that there is absolutely nothing we can do on this one because in the past these criminals (that is what they are) have never even bothered to answer our email enquiries.

There is no mistake here, they have done this to your deliberately to avoid paying your winnings. In fact I am shocked that they even refunded your deposits. Gold VIP Club is an organised scam disguised as a casino. They should be on every rogue casino list in the world. In fact the owners should be out of business and behind bars.

I took another look through their website for you to try to see where or even if the casino is "licensed", just in case. They claim to be own by a company registered in Cyprus. But that does not necessarily mean the casino is operated from there. And they make no mention anywhere on their website that I can find about where they are licensed. So I checked their IP address to see where their servers are.

IP Address: 66.11.154.210
Hostname: 66.11.154.210
IP Country: Costa Rica
IP Country Code: CRI
IP Continent: North America
IP Region: San Jose
Guessed City: San José
IP Latitude: 9.9333
IP Longitude: -84.0833
Organization: Hostarica Corp.
ISP Provider: Canada Web Hosting

Bingo. Costa Rica. That means you really are up the creek without a paddle. Our general advice here is to avoid any online gambling site operating from Costa Rica, unless we have a review showing that they are trusted. Sadly the good ones are very few and far between.

Casinos in Costa Rica have no license to operate a gambling site, they just have a plain business license and pay no tax. There is no authority that regulates gambling there, and therefore no-one to step in and mediate if there is a dispute. You are totally reliant on the honesty and integrity of the people running the casino.

And once again these are the kind of situations we end up with because of the U.S. government's stupid head in the sand approach to online gambling!

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

Thanks CL-ED. Yes, I realize this is what happens because there is no regulation. I agree that this casino should be blacklisted on every casino forum and site on the internet. This is part of the reason why I posted this here and will continue to post this to maximize exposure. I'll take a look at the affiliates who actually promote them and get this posted there as well.
