$1000 pending withdrawl and dinkum pokies closed

4 replies • Last post

I have a pending withdrawal on Dinkum Pokies, and all of sudden couldn't get into the site, saying it's under maintenance, 2 days later I could get in, and made a deposit as I wanted to still withdraw. as soon as deposit was made the site reloaded and said under maintenance again, it still had the chatbox and I chatted asking how long it will be under maintenance, but never got an answer to this, instead of getting told its not working atm and I will have to download the software, saying I didn't want to download as I didn't have room on my computer I continue to say I didn't want to do this and continued to ask if they would just answer my original question, but they wouldn't going into different conversations but not answering my questions. they were saying I can't get in atm, I was asking why it let me into the deposit, but then kicks me out again and now being told I have to get their software? Next time I refreshed the page I no longer had a way to contact them or anything, it still says under maintenance, but I have heard that the casino has closed its doors. How do I get my money back? I have been playing here for years, I've made numerous and then some deposits, this would be my first withdrawal, but also they have my deposit as well

Sorry jennyjam. I am sad to say that this is why we have the following warning posted on every page here for visitors from Australia:

Quote:

Warning: in recent times we have seen a proliferation of dodgy new casinos opened by crooks in unregulated jurisdictions, taking advantage of the fact that most licensed and regulated casinos no longer accept Australians. Players should be highly suspicious of new casinos employing Australian themes and slang as a high proportion of them are outright rogue casinos. Caveat Emptor.

Casino Listings recommends that Australians should not play at any unlicensed casino.

The vast majority of Australian sounding or themed casinos in operation today are scams set up by overseas opportunists since all the good casinos stopped accepting Aussie players. If they have disappeared with your money there is pretty much nothing you can do about it.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

Another case like this. Is there any hope for you guys in Australia? Seems like you're going backwards.

I wish countries would recognize that citizens are going to gamble online, and rather than try to restrict it and having your populace get screwed over by scammers, it's a much better alternative to legalize and regulate it to protect said people. Instead you get this massive gray market where people get scammed left and right. And somehow that's better?

You're right but there is not going to be any change to this in Australia in the foreseeable future as far as I can tell. No-one is going to win votes campaigning as pro gambling, even if it is aimed at taxing and regulating for player safety.

The fools who have enacted the current policy undoubtedly think they are doing people a favour by trying to ban it. Unfortunately they are not smart enough to realise that their approach has only succeeded in throwing punters to the wolves. It is totally counter-productive as no-one ever succeeded in banning anything on the internet.
