Has anyone received an email within the last couple of hours from Jackpot247 informing you of a security breach of your information including card details, address and contact no? It is a GENUINE email and links to the Jackpot247 enquiry page.
I have attached the email for you all to see.
While terrible news, they are at least doing the responsible thing and letting you know it happened.
Make sure you follow those instructions. Reset your password on their site, and more importantly any other site that you may be using the same password on. If you are re-using the same password across multiple sites, take this as a warning to stop doing it and start using unique passwords wherever you go. Some hacker now has your name, date of birth, email address etc which can be used to attempt sign-ins on other websites.
And get ready for the deluge of spam to your email and mobile phone. Lists of casino customers are valuable on the black market because loads of dodgy casino owners and affiliates are willing to buy them so they can spam you with offers to sign up at their casino.
Apart from that there isn't much you can do about this.
Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.
Post in our forums to earn CLchips which can be used to buy real prizes in our CLchips shop.
I know right? Guess it happens online. Just didn’t want it to be me! It’s ok I’m all over it with the password stuff thanks for that tho.
You seem to be landing on the wrong side of these casino's fairly often. If I were you, I'd check out the reviews here at casino listings and find a few of the more trustworthy casinos with proven excellent reputations , and stick to playing at those ones. If you must stray from those top listed ones, then at least check out CL's list of blacklisted casinos so you are aware of the ones that will go out of their way to RIP you off, and just stay well away from them all.
Yes! Trouble is when these casinos have reviews and bonuses caked in 24 ct gold, it’s deceiving cos it ends up zero ct Fools gold, generally for peeps like me! Non the less been in a few good ones to I guess. Will stick to getting good vibes from places like this I reckon, your right war of gods! Thanku
At least they're being responsible with letting players know. I can bet a good number of sites would have not even contacted you, seeing as how they're unregulated.
Yeah, probably happens all the time to be fair but like you say, we’re not informed about it, and the risk is gonna be there online regardless..
