How to post screenshots to this forum

6 replies • Last post

This thread originally contained info on using third party image hosting websites such as ImageShack or Photobucket. It was needed before our forum had built-in support for uploading images and attaching them to your posts. This is no longer necessary.

Over the years we have seen third party hosts disappear along with the images that people uploaded to them, leaving missing images in the forums. As such we strongly encourage people to use the forum's built-in functions to upload images so that they remain on our server and will never disappear.

The process is very simple. Underneath the comment box there is a "File attachments" box which allows you to specify the file you want to upload and attach to a post. Images that you upload will be automatically appended to the end of your post.

You can now attach images directly to posts using the "File Attachments" section right under the comments box.

Just upload your image and it will be added automatically to the end of your comment. If it is too large it will be scaled down to a smaller size, but you will be able to click it to see the full size image.

My problem (blonde moment, lol) is that I saved my screen shots to a Word Document. I have tried everything that I could try in order to change the image in the Word Doc to one that will go into my photo folder. No go, so far. Tried Photo Bucket, too. Trying a couple more things, then I am out of ideas, and I will not be able to show you my pretty pictures, lol. Unless you techies out there have any ideas for me to try?

I can't believe it. I actually figured it out, at least with the Loose Caboose image. NOW I have to see if I can even remember how in the world I did it in order to do the same with the Lucky Tiger image. haha! I am not sure I even know what I did, but I know one thing! I did not give up and I somehow figured out how to get my Word Doc image to work in my photos folder (after many tries and failing at most of them). Going to go post my winning photos now, lol!
