Slots Plus casino good or not for payout?

Hi, I had rec'd a check from slots plus for my winnings but it wasn't any good. No funds available and was returned to them. They are telling me that they don't know why it wasn't any good and are working on it to resolve the problem and saying they will pay me but now i have my doubts about it. Has anyone else rec'd payment from Slots Plus casino or any of their other casino's? Just wondering if i will get paid. It totally messed up my checking account because it appeared it had cleared and then wham i get this letter in the mail a week later saying the returned the check. I was so pissed. Any help would be appreciated. I told them that they need to send me the money asap because they messed up my account since the check wasn't any good. They told me they can not reissue the check or send me any money until the problem of why it wasn't paid gets resolved.

Hi Monica, I'm assuming you are in the United States here.

This can happen due to the casinos needing to use payment processing intermediaries that often run into problems paying players in the USA. I have always found Slots Plus and the other casinos run by the same people to be honest and reliable, and to pay quickly, so I am reasonably confident that you will be paid - provided of course that they have not gone out of business this week.

My guess would be that whatever payment processor they were using no longer works for gambling transactions with U.S. players and they are in the process of setting up a new one.

Yeah, They are telling me they are trying to find out why the check did not go through and waiting to here from their provider which is in Canada. This is where the check came from.
You mentioned something to the fact of them going out of business. Do you suspect that they are going out of business or have heard of anything of this? I sure hope not because i would like to get paid.

No not at all! I just mentioned it as a possibility for why the payment could have failed. But seeing as they are corresponding with you that cannot be the case! Sorry if I gave you a scare.

I strongly suspect that it is a payment processor difficulty which unfortunately is becoming quite common for casinos that continue to service US players.

Hi, See below what they wrote me . Does this make any sense to you?
I don't quite get how a check could have cleared and then be deducted funds. Below is what they sent me.

The delay in your case is because they do see your check as cleared at their end. Now, they also know that in some cases a check can clear and a further cancellation will produce the already paid funds to be deducted. This is precisely what they are looking into as they think this is what happened in your case.

Unfortunately they will not reimburse us (therefore we cannot proceed with replacing your payment) until they are certain on this.

We will inquire them once again tomorrow first thing in the morning.

I have never heard of anything like it.

It's not clear to me who is meant by "they" in the email. Is that the payment processing company, or the casino's finance department?

The mainstreet group of casinos is no longer accredited at casinomeister and were having problems reported of slow payouts from various players. I don't think these casinos are doing well and would'nt risk playing there. Personally, I don't think it's safe to play at any casino accepting U.S players.

Joycefl you're right that there is definitely an extra risk factor involved if you're a player in the USA. We can only hope that some sanity prevails and a regulated licensing system is put in place sooner rather than later.
