Damn Man I would kill for a proper VR headset but the prices are just insane , the Oculus is fairly priced but Still a bit steep , @ usbarbadosslim93 what's your opinion of the Oculus? worth it ?

I love the Oculus. The Quest 2 is amazing, but I have the original Quest and find it still pretty great. I love Tetris Effect, Superhot, and Beat Saber in it. I also use it for flight training in MS Flight Simulator. It mimicks the movements you can't get from looking at a monitor.

The Quest 2 has a much better resolution, and while it's not perfect, it's clearly a step up. I highly recommend it.

How often do you play VR slim? I kind of look at them and think I'd like to try it but the headsets are so bulky and the whole thing is so anti-social. I wonder if the novelty wears off after a while.

I use it every week or so. Its certainly something that is a novelty, but there are people that swear by them. The Quest 2 is the way to go from what I hear. I'm optimistic about the PSVR2. Looks like 4K screen and should be nifty with the haptics.

Just another 3 weeks and Horizon Forbidden West comes out. Still dont have a PS5 but it's also being released on the PS4 . I cant remember when a game release has made me this excited lol

Anyone anticipating any other games being released this year ?

Yeah I like the look of Elden Ring seeing as I went through all the Dark Souls and Bloodborne games over the last year. I'll probably wait a while to get it though.. once they release the edition with all the DLC included and all the bugs fixed. Probably about the time you can walk into a store and buy a PS5. 😂

Lol that sounds like a reasonable goal for the PS5. I would love to have one but cant bring myself to buy one online for more than double the price. So I've been waiting for my chance to buy in a store.
I was really hoping to have one before Horizon came out February 18. 🤞

I'm looking forward to Horizon, God of War, and others. I've been playing Windjammers 2 if anyone wants to join in on the action!

Yeah, I remember playing it before too! This new one is sharp. I actually had to stop last night because I felt my thumb starting to get a blister. That's how you know it's good!

I like Assassin's Creed 2. I think this part is the best. I remember playing this game brotherhood, revelations, and black flag for countless hours.

I'm late to the party, but I started playing GTA V on PS5 this week. I'm shocked as to how they're allowed to get away with what they put in there. There's more meth and racially charged language than an Alabama GOP fundraiser.

Still, it's a lot of fun to play. Hopefully a new one is in the works!

Depends on what platform? But for xbox one I'm into Fallout 76, not really a fan on the previous games of the series, however, the game took a huge turn in my opinion when it became open world. It had a rocky start but developed into a beast of a game.

On pc, Im more of a grinder and hit up lord of the rings online. I think for me its not the game itself but the community and interaction with other players.

For those of you who never tried Tom Clancys - The division series, totally underrated games! Good gameplay, bad ass game mechanics, good looking and fun story. Must play if you like first person shooters.

In video game related news, I've been playing Returnal for PS5. It's cool. Like you crash on a planet and play through until you die, and then the game resets and you have to start over, but some of your buffs and knowledge for weapons remains. It's pretty wild.

Last weekend I got the 5th highest score in the world ever on one level of Geometry Wars 3 on the ps4...

Yes yes I know that might just be one of the saddest achievements ever for so many reasons. I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed.

Geometry Wars is a fantastic game. In a similar scope, have you played Resogun for PS4? It was a Plus game back in the day. I don't know if its in the new subscription, but it is sort of similar to Geometry Wars with the shooter mechanic, but you're looking to rescue people.

I have heard of Resogun but have not played it. I'll have to look it up on the store because I love old style space shooter games.

Well I went and bought myself a Pico neo 3 VR headset instead of the quest 2 mainly because I hate Facebook and mark zuckerfucker and refuse to open a FB account to use the headset , the headset is great and has a 4k display but sadly has a terrible app store and very few decent apps and games so i ended up returning it and got myself a 32 inch curved QHD curved gaming monitor instead and although its not VR I am really having a lot of fun with it playing all the games from my Steam , Epic and GOG library that I have collected over the years , play the updated quake 2 RTS of maximum and it took me back to the good old days of playing that game back in high school , the new oculus that zuckerfucker is releasing soon soon super awesome though and if he drops the fb requirement to use it then I reckon I have to get one

Gaming monitors are slick, Lambino. I have a 32 inch Westinghouse that I got a couple years ago that does 120hz at 1080p. I like it a lot.. although I just recently got a stuck pixel that I can't get to unstick. 😢

I'm finally going to get my hands on a Playstation 5, had to order it online and paid a bit more than I had wanted. I've decided to look past the cost and just enjoy it for what it is, plus it comes with the sequel to my favourite game Horizon.

Awesome stuff, Chris. If you want some recommendations I can give you some good ones.

Ha me too - just got one a couple of weeks ago. A local store here had them online and by the time I was aware via a website I monitor they were sure to be sold out. But the order page was still up so I ordered one and after hearing nothing for about 5 days and fully expecting my order to be cancelled I got a confirmation and it came in the post a few days later.

Damn I have to say that the thing is big and ugly. I was going to replace the white casing with a black one to hide it a bit on the shelf but the shops here want $90 just for 2 pieces of black plastic!

So far I have only played ps4 games that I had not finished yet. I got the new Horizon game with the console and ordered Elden Ring, plus a bunch of ps5 games that come with the new ps+ tier.

So if anyone with the PS5 has one of the higher tier subscriptions, there's a weird game called Stray, where you're a stray cat. I've been playing it lately. Tons of fun. Puzzles kind of remind me of Portal in a strange way that I can't put my finger on.

Highly recommended.

what do u guys recommend to buy PS5 or PC for same money?

For the same amount of money go with a PS5. It's going to be hard to find a PC that can do 1440p or 4K with 60/30 FPS with ray tracing for $500 USD. The exclusives are also enticing.

I've been playing Hogwarts Legacy lately and having a blast with it. You can't go wrong with a PS5 in my opinion.

Ive owned my PS5 for maybe 6-7 months now, and other than Horizon Forbidden West, all ive played is older games lol. Graphics in Horizon with the PS5 are some of, if not the best I have ever seen.
The fact that I now have glasses for driving at night, and anything to do with the tv could be the reason for my assessment on Horizons graphics lmao.

Im a Playstation Plus subscriber, mostly for the free monthly games. A couple months ago they gave out Mass Effect The Legendary Edition, its the first 3 Mass Effect games. I just finished playing them all. For me, its one of the games that leaves a good lasting impression. I couldnt say enough good things about it. Several diffrent endings are available, and without giving anything away, I wasnt very impressed with the ones I seen.
But they did make sense and in a way, were expected. Definitely recommend this one to any RPG or 3 person shooter fans out there.

You do know that they're making a new Mass Effect in the Sheppard storyline, WaroftheGods? It makes me wonder which one of those endings is the canonical ending.

Well I am about 160 hours into Elden Ring and I don't think I am near finishing it yet. It is fantastic for a fan of the old Dark Souls / Bloodborne / Sekiro games like me - more of the same, just bigger and sometimes (but not always) better. I have Horizon Forbidden West as it came with the PS5 when I bought it, but I haven't played it yet. Maybe one day... 😂
