About Megaways Slots Game

44 replies • Last post

Megaways is a new style of slot machine gaming made popular by big time gaming [BTG].

Throughout the journey of slot machine games, the trend to serve megaways games has become increasingly popular among well-known slot game providers, such as microgaming, blueprint, pragmatic play, isoftbet, redtiger, and many more.

Out of the many megaways slot games today, is there the best among them? Do megaways have a different RTP? , are they really easier to get the win compared to the classic style (1 - 4000plus ways)?

I would like to know from all of you about the megaways slot game, of course with your personal experience, do you like it? What game do you think is the best? and what was your best win?

They all seem very volatile and as a result, very hard to win on. I do think that other providers that license the Megaways concept from BTG tend to have to pay a cut and as a result, the RTP may be a little lower.

I agree with you, other providers that use the megaways concept from BTG do seem inferior regarding RTP. maybe the one that's a little closer to btg's is only Diamnond Mine from Blueprint and even though it was only felt at the beginning when it released it. i tend to prefer playing on btg when i choose megaways than through other providers. Is there anyone other than me here who feels addictive to the Megaways game ??

Megaways games are currently very trendy. It started off with BTG and now it seems that every provider has at least one, including Netent. I agree that they seem to be way more volatile, my favorite is probably Lil Devil, Queens of Riches and Genie Megaways.

Regarding megaways, I think BTG has probably the best megaways games as they are the the inventors of BTG megaways trademark. But I think you need to be careful with megaways because they're always very volatile.

Did you know lately I really don't have a reference to playing slots except for just playing megaways (bonanza and extra chilli), at least in the past 2 years 80% of me was there. I feel totally distracted by them, of course this is not a good thing at all.
by the way, thanks for your advice blck,.

If you are a megaway slot player you have tried of course the BTG games and know well their volatility and consumption of your funds trying to get the free spins is in my cases rather high.
The new Netent megaway game being in my opinion a very volatile game and heavy on the funds.
Many of these games are in the Jackpot arena of various casinos so they are not designed in my opinion to be easy to collect from.
Personally the only way I play megaway slots of late is via a bonus funds as if one does hit a good collect this usually sets you up to control your wagering requirement.
I love Megaways but it does not like me!! lately😎🍷

@cableway20878 , exactly the same what im doing, i often took the bonus fund with deposits only just playing megaways and never thinking about any other game.

about netent megaways i didnt play yet, im curious with them but, i have tried for fun and i think they're little bit worst than btg. i see the potential of gonzo megaways, we just need two wild symbols on second and third reels and then we will reach max win there, am i right??

Hi Eljuno, you need a good bankroll as Netent megaway I found to be very volatile . playing with bonus funds your max bet is 5 Euro but you cannot bet the 5 Euro max bet as the game betting play is 4 Euro or 6 Euro.
YOU need to be lucky as one good hit will make you happy. 🤑🍷
good luck with Gonzo but have found you need to be real lucky and get the 2-3 wild symbols asap or the earthquake occurrence 👍.

Is it true that Gonzo Megaways has a maximum bet of 4 or 6 €? That's very unusual.
as far as I know the max bet allowed by netent is between 10 to 50 $/€ for old games. although previously I knew that dead or alive 2 also only allows max bets of around $/€ 4.5 - 9 but DOA2 has 100k 👧 max win potential which makes us understand about max bets below $/€ 10 per spin, while gonzo megaways giving max win 20,000x, I know it's still a pretty big potential but if asked to choose between gonzo megaways or DOA2 then I would prefer DOA2

Eljuno, There is a new megaway Netent game available other than the Gonzo Game.
If you play with bonus funds your max bet allowed is 5 EURO with most casinos. If you go higher than the max bet of 5 euro while playing with bonus funds the casino will not pay you should you have a collect doing so.
CHEERS👍

Well the ones I certainly don't like are megaways games from Pragmatic Play- they are all extremely volatile. Gonzo megaways isn't too bad but then again probably wouldn't recommend playing it with high bets.

you are right blck, the only pragmatic megaways game that I have ever played is Great Rhino, the concept of this game is almost the same but there are differences that I think are a bit tricking players, such as the "buy bonus" feature and the max win limit. and in my personal opinion, the buy bonus feature disturbs the RTP value . but at least the Great Rhino still has a "cascading" feature which is actually very beneficial than not having it. compared to the dog house megaways i prefer the great rhino

I mean every game has a max win, but I personally think that in general megaways are all or nothing games, very volatile and then if you add "buy bonus" feature, for the most part you end up with losses.

Lmao, .. or it could be now or never.
talk about buy bonuses, extra chilli is one of the most evil. sometimes they are good but more often they are very fast spending alot money without even getting free spins even though we do buy bonuses then we try "gamble" again to get more than 8 free spins if we trigger only 3 symbols (HOT) without +4. I do that a lot (only extra chilli) and the results are really bad, and many people on streaming platforms have experienced the same thing.
So, for now, if I play extra chilli, I will never buy the bonus unless the discount has accumulated up to 75% discount from the buy bonus value.

Well in my opinion extra chilli isn't that bad, yes it's very volatile but at least the buy feature costs 50x your bet not like most games with their 100x bet buy bonuses.

I don't know if this is just me who feels it or if there are other people who have it, that is, I feel less passionate if I buy bonuses.

There are several wins that I think are quite decent that I got from the buy bonus (extra chilli), and the biggest win is around 700x bet, but I feel less happy with that win. it was different when I got a 200x bet win at the bonanza. For me triggering bonus feature at Bonanza is something that is not very easy and when they paid 200x I thought it was very good.

maybe, if the buy bonus that I did in extra chilli gave more than 1000x it would be able to change my mind. for regular play (no buy) i think is nothing different with bonanza if we talking about taste.

I actually never really liked the megaways games because of the high
to very high variance ... lately i played some of them from time to time
and imo the best of them or, better said, the ones I liked best were
bonanza and opal fruit from big time gaming.
the megaways slot with the highest rtp is according to slotcatalog "white rabbit"
also from big time gaming but i have never really won anything in the game...

Hi vomvom12 I actually like the megaway games but after many a dollar trying to get the elusive monster collect I have had to tell myself to find some easier games.
Have been lucky enough to have had a very large win on White rabbit once. approx. a year ago.
Because of my success at White Rabbit my brain tells me to try a few more BTG megaway games but my wallet over rules.
good luck with the gaming 👍🍺

@vomvom, yes.. totaly agree about bonanza, even i never had jumbo win there but i think bonanza is the most friendliest megaways slot.

@cableway, white rabbit has different taste,
funfact : out of plan (buy bonus from beginning till the end).

I really enjoy the Megaways format, and I have played a lot of these games, but there's absolutely no other slots format with more volatility in my experience. The volatility often exceeds infamously volatile games like Tombstone.

This format seems specifically designed to encourage redeposits - it's so easy to burn through as much as $500 with $0.20 wagers before landing a significant win. That's probably why this format is so popular among casino providers and licensors.

Matthew, speaking about volatility, any thoughts on the new Nolimit slot San Quentin?

I played it for about 30 minutes, after seeing Nolimit's claim that it was their most volatile game yet, and I couldn't even reach the bonus round. I then bought both of the features with a decent return (about 150%) but the mechanics were quite confusing.

Have you had a chance to try it? Kinda reminds me of their other game Punk Rocker.

Which ones did you buy? I am guessing not the one with 2000x bet cost? I haven't played it yet but I like the theme. Regarding volatility, I am convinced I won't be buying bonuses on this one, way too expensive.

Yes, it really costs 2000x your bet. There are 3 bonus buys, I think the lowest one is 100x and the highest is 2000x bet and the game in theory can pay 150.000x bet. The feature is a free spins bonus with jumping wilds and multipliers- I do like it but I would never pay that much.

hi blck, today i just saw a casino streamer who is playing live on twitch, he is playing san quentin for € 2.
He bought a lot of features for 2000x the bet (exactly what you say). most of the bonuses he bought didn't pay out very well, but at least each feature paid between 500 to 1000x the bet.
After more than 10 times he bought the bonus he finally got a very good one with a win of more than 20K.
I think this slot is very good but it is impossible for me to buy a feature at such a high cost.
