You know that BTC price is over $33,000 πŸ˜‚ πŸ€‘

What do you think about this situation?

Hahah good point - I imagine that the "please Mr Banker could you allow me to move my money out of the system where you use it to profit by lending it out 1000 times over, so that I can hold it in a secure digital asset that you have no control over?" question wouldn't go down too well at many banks.

There have been issues with banks here and crypto but I personally have not run into any. I can see how they would be very wary of people using credit cards to buy crypto seeing as credit purchases can be charged back after the event while crypto can't. But apart from that its probably just self interest kicking in.

Yeah you're right Ed, I get all that but am I too impudent wishing to invest or spend my own money whatever way I would decide...as long as it's not about something illegal of course.

Maybe the traditional banking system will be flexible enough and they would aloud crypto transactions in future (or they'll be forced to!?) but I get that they'd not be willing to do it until the government compel them.

In the end banks charging fees on all of these transactions so I think it's a missed profit on their side plus the fact that obviously the cryptocurencies are here to stay with more and more people and corporations investing in it..so even though in a distant future the classic banks could be..irrelevant...or even needless!?

I like the potential of Bitcoin (as opposed to execution so far) but NFTs have to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of. Seeing an animated cartoon cat picture selling for $600k because its the "original" when it is an infinitely reproducible piece of amateur digital "art" is ridiculous. But hey, what do I know, maybe there's an enormous latent demand for crap cartoon cat pictures that it just waiting to explode.

I made this custom art today. I only want $30,000. Steal.

I hate to be the one to tell you this Ed, but CryptoKitties beat you to market back in 2017. You're $92 million worth of cartoon cat pictures too late πŸ˜‚

Oh yeah now that you remind me I do remember that. IIRC it brought the Ethereum network to its knees with all the transactions going back and forth. Stupid.

I've heard that a lot of people in the US are planning to use their stimulus checks ($1,400 per person per household) to buy into Bitcoin. That could start a pump for a bit of time. Wonder what it'll get up to.

I noticed the words "conspiracy theory" in the thread title. I think this explains everything BTC nicely...

That's pretty bang on if you ask me lol

I've gambled away more btc than I care to remember, or maybe better if I say, I'm trying my best to never think about how much it was or could have been.
The past maybe 6 months I've started to keep it instead of gamble it away. Btc has only gone up through the years, and will most likely continue to do so as more and more countries are accepting this as a true currency.

Lmao, BTC has to be a long term investment. Sure it bounces all over the place all the time, but year after year its higher than it was the year prior.
Anybody thinking they are going to invest in BTC to get rich quick better be very lucky or have no life so they can watch for the spikes 24/7 and sell at that exact second.
Judging by the video above, that method will only drive a person crazy lol funny but not funny, sort of .
