Human/Monkey Hybrid Reportedly Grown in Lab

7 replies • Last post

Scientists have reportedly created a hybrid human/monkey in a lab in China. Do you think this is the real deal, or is it something that's just "being put out there"? If it's real, that's pretty crazy, and I cannot even start to think about the implications down the line.

Will I be chilling out on the bus and some stranger will start grooming me for bugs? Will the price of bananas skyrocket?

It was only a cell right, not an actual embryo or something?

Speaking of public transport, I'm pretty sure I have sat next to a few fully grown human/monkey hybrids on the trains back in the day.

According to the article it was an embryo, and they think they could have taken it to term, but they aborted it.

I don't know Dustin..but just one remark..Daily Star are usually quite unreliable when it comes to football(soccer) transfer news...just a mention.

And frankly speaking I don't see what's the point if they doing that anyway...we want a Planet of the Apps script in reality!?! 😉

They haven't started yet, the Chinese government approved a humanoid type experiment. But it's not for the reason to have a half man half animal, it's on the Hope's of having animals harvest organs that can later be transplanted into people if need be. There wont be long waiting lists for people to get the heart they need, or kidney.

From my understanding this is what they're hoping for. I'll try and find the article and post the link for you guys. This is most likely where your story originated from slim .

Cool. I'm interested to see what the actual applications would be.

I can't find that article but I'll keep trying.
If I remember correctly, they were going to implant embryos into rats or mice and bring them to term but terminate them before they gave birth.
For some reason that doesn't sound quite right lol I'm a mover, not a scientist lol I seen this article just a couple days ago, it cant be too far down any lists or menus haha
