A Star Wars Fan Film That's REALLY GOOD

20 replies • Last post

I know there's some Star Wars fans out in the CL-verse, and I wanted to share a Star Wars fan film that's actually well-made. The dude behind this sank about $100,000 of his own dough into the movie, and he wants to make more. Lucas Film actually gave him the okay to make it as long as he didn't make money off it, so he didn't run ads for it, but yesterday a music company associated with the movies filed a claim on the movie and are claiming ad revenues on it now.

Still, this is a great fan-made film. Would love to see more of them going forward.

Check it out and share your thoughts.

cool thing barbadosslim93 i am a star wars fan for a long long time and if another star was fan told
hey that is really worth watching it then i definitely give it a try
especially because we star fans have suffered a lot over the past few years...from watching all that crap
which was released under the star wars univers imo
to be honest...star wars: rogue one was the first star wars movie I really enjoyed after episode 4,5 & 6

I'm a fan of the old ones...4th,5th,6th episodes and completely agree with vomvom that Rogue One is probably the only one worth watching outside the classics.

But I'll probably check that one..it looks cool from the trailer.

You're right slim it is pretty good. I've seen worse real Star Wars movies.

It's a shame it is so short.

Yeah, I think his idea is to film these as he gets money to do so. This first one was about $100,000, and the next one is confirmed to be about the same amount. I think this second one will see a certain Jedi with a purple lightsaber being prominently featured, and is confirmed.

Yeah I figured that after the Emperor mentioned the amethyst light sabre.

I think one of the best things I could say about it was that there was a load of CGI but it was not always obvious which parts were all CGI and which were real. So the production values were good. It's amazing what some hobbyists can do these days.

Oh, it is very surprising.

So, the dude is doing the Vader himself, or what ?? Joking
He should be very rich and an extreme fan to spend this money for his own version.

Yeah, exactly.

I thought it's just a trailer or something in the beginning but now when I saw the whole thing I really think it's quite good...it would be curios what this guy could make with a multi million budget...I hope Lucas or whoever owns the rights of Star Wars would give him a green light and why not even finance the whole hypothetical project.

I hope 1,2,and 3rd could be re-shooted someday with a new director and why not this guy!?!

Good to hear. A few years ago I strained something in my back by bending over towards a retaining wall in my yard that is about halfway between my knees and waist in height. I was trying to pick up ....

... wait for it ...

... a leaf.

I felt like a real superman after that!

So it can happen at any time without warning.

I've done it spitting after brushing my teeth! My back is on a hair trigger, and I can set it off doing the stupidest things like sneezing.

Puts you out a few days, but you can then sit back and watch quality Star Wars fan films lol

It's because of the age if I have to make a guess guys..don't feeling my body as same as before either...just a few days away from turning 40!!!...wow..when we start speaking just of our body pains and sufferings it's maybe time to create a retired/pension/ club here (call it whenever way you like)...I can think of four members already Joking

In the end, we can only be grateful that medical care and medicines are available when you need them...
and when I think about that the 1 millon doller question always come to my mind...
why has such a well developed country like america still no statutory health insurance and why do a majority of americans still resist this
dont get me wrong that is no america bashing but i know the pictures which are shown in the news at the same time each year...of thousands of americans waiting in front of the big football stadiums (and i dont talk about the super bowl Joking ) they waiting to get a free medical examination or treatment because they could not pay the doc whithout a insurance

if I would add up all the costs for all hospital stays operations special examinations, medications, dental treatments, and reha measures i have had in my life so far...and I would have had to pay these things out of my own bag then I would be broke for the next 100 years

i love america for all the great things that were invented by your country sure there are also a lot of
bad as well but which big country has not over the centuries
but sometimes i do not understand americans and can only shake my head

sorry for comming up with this theme here but that's an issue that has been
bothering me for a long time and i am absulut sure that it is
one of the most important achievements of democratic postwar germany .it guarantees every inhabitant the best possible medical treatment no matter whether poor or rich

Oh, I don't think the system here is good at all pal.

There's something called a Health fund or something here so all the people having an occupation have to pay a monthly fees for that, which suppose you won't have to pay for most of the things if you're being hospitalized..right?...wrong!
They still charge you for almost anything including a hospital bad, TV in the room (if there;s any)or for most of the medical researches you'd potentially need) stating that the fund doesn't cover that, while in the same time the state fund pays to the hospitals for that.

On top of that they've changed the law a few years back I believe so if you've missed even one monthly payment of your medical insurance in the last like 5 years, the insurance is not valid then and you have to pay for that before being hospitalized.

I'm out of occupation for a few years now so I'm grateful I've being in relatively good condition during the time but even the people who have a valid medial insurance have been complaining that they've been charged for almost anything.

Didn't even have to mention the fact that many good doctors and nurses leaving the country for a better paid positions in Western Europe or even UAE, Dubai and so on.

I guess only the ER care could be considered free here but I don't think that's exactly true either cause in the end you're paying for most of your life (in case you've been working) and still many of the people couldn't afford(sometimes a life saving) interventions or supplies.

But that's just part of the bigger picture (I mean the overcoruption in the political system) which forced so many people to leave the country in the past 20+ years) looking for a better standard of life.

I believe there's between 3-4mill Bulgarian emigrants all over the word (officially like mill and a half) with the population here's like 7 mill (and some of those being residents here just on paper) so there's a good reason for that and in fact.
