Best slot name?

29 replies • Last post

online_casino_slots_clever_titles_ice_ice_yeti.jpg

One of my roles here at Casino Listings is to read through various promotional material that is sent through from casinos. Aside from the many promotions and bonuses, there's always information about new game releases. I love checking out the new games that are available but so often the themes and titles are stock standard and quickly forgotten.

But this morning, I was reading the latest Mr Green newsletter and saw that No Limit City has a new game coming out called Ice Ice Yeti - this made me smile and I definitely want to give it a go....especially now that I've got Vanilla Ice's classic stuck in my head! Another recently released slot that I thought was cleverly named is Rival Gaming's Dr. Acula!

While a clever/funny/unique slot title most certainly doesn't promise great game play.....it's enough for me to take the slot for a few spins. Is it just me or are you the same? Tell us some of the best slot names that you've come across - new releases or golden oldies - and whether the game lived up to its promising title.

Machine Gun Unicorn - I still can't decide if it is genius or lunacy.

Ha-ha, it should be some mad genius that one Ed...or just a mad man...I can't decide either.

The only one that pops up in my mind right now is the Elk Studios - Taco Brothers..in fact I think the game could be a bit more fun than the title itself..nice one.

I'll go with Alaxe in Zombieland. Sounds like either a horror movie or an 80's metal band.

So many good names!!

Will definitely check Rocket Man out - just one time. Like I said I'm a sucker for good names, and the animation looks hilarious....even if the payout is rubbish

OMG, Rocket Men is hands down the most hilarious slot. Comedic gold, the folks at Red Tiger should get a satire award for this game.

I managed to hit Don's Driving Range and Kim's Little Game bonus features, but wasn't ever invited to Trump's Party Time. But being female I'm kinda pleased about that...I did notice that the designers whimped out with butt slapping rather than pussy grabbing graphics on that one.

In my opinion, a unique name I also found in Barcrest, you remember with "ooh aah dracula" ... Isn't that pretty awful for a Dracula ...?

Hah actaully I usually chose Infidel Castro or Ronnie Raygun. It was a fun game and as you can see it was very ironic. The only objective was to annihilate your enemies around the world. If you won you saw your leader celebrating in a blasted wasteland saying "I won! I won!"

I guess you've had a good fun there, there's some specific feeling in these old games you can't discover now in the modern games...or that's just a nostalgia cause we're already too old! Smile

I like the name Zombirthday by Playson, but the game itself was a disappointment.

Oh there are so many funny game names! All the ones with kitchen theme can be quite funny. And I think that a slot name is very important part of branding, if the name is catchy/memorable, it's possible that it will be popular.

I think it can be a bit hit and miss - a great name doesn't always translate into a fun or popular game.

As a toy buyer in my past life, my colleagues and I created a large rubber duck and named it "Big Buoy" - it was much bigger than a regular rubber duck (but not quite as large as the one below).

I thought the product and the name was awesome.....c'mon who doesn't want a giant rubber duck for their bathroom?! Didn't sell quite as well as expected unfortunately.

I agree with you! Catchy name doesn't mean it will be popular. But I think it's always good to have a good name that's memorable- so that you can name in on top of your head.

Basically it was going out looking and buying toys as a wholesaler to sell them to the retailers.
The job mostly involved finding toys that suited our brand and repackaging them. You'd be surprised at how many things come from the same warehouse in China but are just packaged differently - with nicer packaging you can charge more Smile

Sometimes we'd get to take an idea and rework them into something new, but that is risky especially for the small to medium players in the industry. You pick a dud and you can end up with lots stock sitting in the warehouse - not ideal.

could be a very interesting job if you like toys...
first i thought you was a toy collector which i find even more interesting
i am a great fan of jason freeny's anatomic sculpture stuff but he is more like a artist than a toy maker

here are some of his works all hand made

Hi, CL-Klaw,

The Rubber Duck, a symbol for hope and never-give-up spirit, nearly got drowned in Seoul a few years ago Joking

Apparently it was there to celebrate the opening of the new Lotte World Mall, the country's largest shopping mall. Hopefully the shopping mall fared better than the rubber duck Joking
