Hello Everyone!
I cannot believe how long it has been since I have been here. I have thought of you all many times, but I have just been so busy, there is little time for online leisure. I am a very active Twitter addict now, too, but that is another story, lol. I limit my time there, too.
I had a busy summer and I am now starting a very hectic school year. I am already exhausted, so I do very little on week nights and spend weekends catching up.
I did have a few withdrawals this summer - one for a little over $200 and my first $600 some withdrawal in FOREVER and I mean FOREVER! So that was nice! Both from Grande Vegas. I couldn't believe I made play through and was able to withdraw that much. So, that was fun. I went to the land casino once this summer with ZERO luck.
I enjoyed family functions and time at a friend's lake place. My latest news is planning my mom's 90th birthday party for next Saturday. She will turn 90 in November, but she will be in Floriday. So, because we also have to do Thanksgiving Oct 20th, we are doing her birthday party/open house this next weekend. This is mainly up to one of my brothers, my SIL, and me. So I will have a busy week ahead with work and preparing for the party which is two hours north of me.
I was supposed to move this summer, but everything fell through. I am renting, and I was going to rent again, but everything fell through, after finding my "dream place," so we decided to wait. Aiming for June or July now. And it is okay. We are just happy to have a roof over our heads. 🙂
I hope all is well with everyone here! I will try to check in more often, even if for a few minutes each time.
Well onto laundry and work paperwork. Teachers get all this vacation....yeah. What people don't realize is we work basically every evening and weekend, so that makes up for it my book. As long as I work lawyer's hours, I should have just become one so I could make some actual money and retire soon. Ha! It is okay to dream, right? Still trying to win that lottery...or that big jackpot!

Gold PlayerWelcome back Hope. I hope you had a wonderful summer. Me, I flew to Costa Rica for vacation in August and ended up in an accident within 15 minutes of landing there. After a visit to the hospital that lasted about two hours and getting stitches on my face, hand, leg, etc, I ended up owing only $100. That got me thinking. How much would it cost to get a lawyer there to go after those Costa Rica based casinos? 😉

You know when you talk about teaching you start to sound just like my mother. She's a retired teacher. It never stopped me from sledging her when she complained abut all the work she had to do. I reminded her of how she worked 6 hours a day, had 10 weeks off a year, never worked weekends, and never had to have a conversation with anyone over the age of 11. As you can imagine, she really loved it when I talked like that to her! 😂

Wow, I just read the story about the guy who was beaten up and had his life threatened in Costa Rica for simply asking for his winnings. I am not sure why Costa Rica allows those criminal elements in the country. I don't know how they can still be in business. My guess is that, eventually, their bad deeds will catch up with them.
