Propolis brand recommendation (Australian or others)

4 replies • Last post

Hi,

I know that it is a little strange post to ask you guys, here.
But, I know that we have members from many countries, so, I just thought that CL is a right place to ask this question, hahaha 😀

I just want to know some good, old, famous brands of Propolis products made in Australia or elsewhere.
As I know, the Australian Propolis is the best quality ? 🙂

And I also heard Canadian, US or New Zealand brands are also quite good.

Please, recommend me as you know from your experience or around 🙂

I've never heard of Propolis before. So I looked it up, and for the benefit of anyone like me who doesn't know what it is, it's some kind of resin that bees get from trees to use in building their hives. It is believed to be useful in treating some health problems or used as a supplement.

I can't tell you whether they are any good, but some well known Australian brands of vitamins and supplements are Blackmores, Nature's Own, Cenovis, and Swisse. Most of them probably not Australian owned though they do manufacture here. Swisse has been in trouble in the past for making grand claims about their products benefits that don't have any evidence to back them up, so give them a miss.

Ah, ok, I see.

Probably, many people are not familiar with Propolis yet.
Propolis is a strong natural antibiotics with little side effects.

For me, I took it around 8~9 years ago for the first time.

I didn't really believe in its effect much, but, I tried it right before I went to bed.

The next morning was the best in years. Oh, I was really surprised at that moment.
So, whatever effect they say it has or not, I was sure that it gave me a deep and relaxing sleep at least, and later on, I always had the same effect. And that product was an Australian brand 🙂

And these days, I have been taking it again, but it is not the original Australian product, but imported and manufactured here. And I feel that the medical effect is much less than what I took before.

And suddenly, I want to check if there are some other locally famous Propolis brands.

Thanks, CL-Ed, I will browse for the names you gave 🙂

I know this I'm pretty sure that my dentist uses this stuff for relieving a bad tooth gum. Is it the same?
