This mix works on me quite relaxing lately, my favorite tracks from it after like 22:00 min in.

Here's a new one I found recently while searching for stuff to add to my dj ibrary. Its quite atmospheric.

Stereotypical by Mimram & DJ Aroze

Plus an old classic I rediscovered
Fine Day (James Holden Remix) by Kirsty Hawkshaw

Wow. The old man at the end looks like Colonel Sanders the KFC guy! 😂

Man I have been listening to so much new music lately, trying to collect stuff to practice my DJing with. But I spend more time listening and collecting than actually playing.

Here's a couple that I like...

Ben Böhmer - Beyond Beliefs
Its the first track in this video which is too good not to share... DJ in a hot air balloon? Why not?!? 😜

Add-us - Trust

Insomnia 2021 (Epic Mix) - Maceo Plex vs Faithless
Nice remix of the old classic

Actually its very easy compared to doing it in the old days. The software shows you the bpm on screen as you move the pitch faders and if you're lazy there is even a sync button to do it for you if you want. Its not always 100% right so you need to know how to adjust manually but really its not hard at all.

You can easily set loops to give yourself more time to match an intro or even save you from a track running out at the end. Software allows you to prepare loops and cues in advance so you can hit buttons at the right time to activate a loop or jump around a song when you play. My latest discovery is the beat loop function that lets you jump forward or back a few bars in the song while playing without disrupting the beat, which can be useful for saving you or even doing live remixes.

This may be all so obvious to you 😉 but the last time I played around with this stuff it was in the 90s, either trying to match on a turntable or using these double deck cd players that were a pain to beatmatch on. It definitely reduces the amount of skill needed to dj, but on the other hand it gives you more time to be creative rather than wasting half the song time beatmatching tracks. I'm having a lot of fun.

i absulutly belive you...
i can remember very well how difficult beat matching was back in the
days with turntable, crossfader and nothing else !! i had 2 techniks mk2
at this time and i was not a good dj....no no no !
it must be a revelation to see what digital technology can do and in between
there have been no points of contact over the years.
the feature alone you talked about...jumping inbetween the track without hearing it !
very nice to hear that you enjoy it and maybe even get the next generation excited about it !!
