I like a bit of electronic stuff but I'm probably a little old for the clubs these days! Hah 😉

Actually I used to DJ when I was younger and a little while ago I was experimenting with some of the new DJ mixing apps on my ipad. Its incredible what you can do these days with automatic beat, pitch, and key matching, loops and samples, 4 or even 8 decks etc. Some even integrate with Spotify so you have almost unlimited music at your fingertips. I wish it had been that easy and powerful when I was doing it.

I've been listening to the second set, its pretty good. I don't know who is D-Nox and who is Beckers but the one on the right seems to be doing more than his fair share of the work while his parter occasionally just plays with the keyboard for a few effects! I was surprised by a cover of Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics about 35 mins in.

hahaha i am 44 and i know what you are talking about but i think we are never to old to groove to
the music...
when i start going out my favourite club was the legendary cologne warehouse....in the middle
of the dancefloor was a podium and no matter when you went there (friday, saturday or sunnday)
there was that "older lady" dancing on that podium, way too old to be some kind of animation dancer.
one night i talked to her...she was 56 and had 2 adult children....

you are right it is incredible how powerful dj & producing tools are today...tools like traktor for mixing
or ableton live for producing

but i still listen to many different kinds of electronic music
from raw bouncing acid to minimal house and of cause a lot of
laid back stuff... not to forget i am still in love with punk rock and hardcore

next up some laid back tracks i liked a lot at the moment

WaroftheGods track 3 is a other happy boost for you 😎 cheers

I'm enjoying all the new stuff I've never heard before, I mainly listen to classic rock, blue oyster cult, Kansas, just to name a couple. Since the first day my son was born, whenever he would cry and for whatever reason couldn't stop, I would hold him close and sing Carry On Wayward Son By Kansas, and he will settle down and fall asleep, for 15 months now its worked. I'm sure I could find an electronic remix of the song but I dont think it would have the same effect lol

hey WaroftheGods never heard from that song...carry on wayward son..
checked it on youtube...i like the guitar parts
great that the song calms your son down
I have no children but I know that from my sister (she has 3) ... if the baby cries and does not stop every trick that works is welcome

cheers

This thread is great, I'm discovering good stuff I've never heard. Here's a few I like but not all are danceable.

Todd Terje - Spiral

Chemical Brothers - wide open

Deadmau5 - Pets

M83 - Lower your eyelids to die with the sun

hahaha ...wow thanks CL-Ed
some times musik can do strange things with your mind

i was just so curious when I read who produced the second track and was really disappointed
after listening to it for the first time...i thougth wow crazy mr. beck hansen and the chemical brothers had made a track together...how insane will this track be ?
i loved the track "sexx laws" from beck and that crazy video ft. my man jack black as well as some
chemical brothers releases e.g. star guitar. i have not heard any new stuff from both for a long time
(maybe 10-12 years) and i expected something totally different...

but then two hours later i listen to it again and without all this expectations i could
listen to it in a complete different way and now i like it...hahaha ...

i post "sexx laws" from beck (1999) and "star guitar" from the chemical brothers(2001) below
to give my post a bit more sense 😎
