Avengers: Infinity War... Holy Crap!

14 replies • Last post

I won't post spoilers here as they need their own thread, but I wanted to share my thoughts on Avengers: Infinity War.

The movie was fan-freaking-tastic. I know that tying in all of the movies together creates a real cluster when you're trying to knock together something that takes place over 2 and a half hours, but I think they did it for the most part. There was some jumble here and there, but the action was great. It had that Marvel humor. The ending was shocking and I want to see how it plays with the sequel.

Please, if you haven't seen it, go. I want to have some Avengers discussion here!

Ok, I am going to see this movie next week.
I am not a big fan of Marvel fan, but I saw the previous Avengers, so I am looking forward to it anyway.
I will leave some post 🙂

My 7 year old son went to a birthday party the other day and the parents took the kids to the movies and picked this without telling anyone. Its not the sort of movie that he would normally be allowed to watch as he doesn't deal with suspense and violence in movies well. I'm pretty surprised and kind of annoyed that they picked that one for a bunch of 7-8 year olds without asking.

He said parts of it scared him so I looked up the rating info on IMDB and its M-rated here (15+) with advisories like this: "In addition to standard comic book film destruction, characters are tortured, impaled, and beaten. While generally bloodless, the consequences feel greater, and could upset younger viewers.", "Multiple scenes of graphic torture.", "Multiple scenes of stabbing, some of them leading to death, others leading to open wounds."

So yeah, I'm not impressed with this particular set of parents!

Yeah, for sure. It's definitely a violent movie and you see a LOT of death and destruction, especially related to main characters. I couldn't imagine taking a bunch of kids without consulting parents first.

Still, if you get a chance to see it, I'd highly recommend it. It's perhaps the best Marvel movie out there, alongside Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor Ragnarok, and maybe Civil War.

OK mate, you make me curios about it, will try to see that one although I'm quite rarely seeing any big screen movies these days, think a really big part is just a waste of time but you convinced me on that one.

barbadosslim93 iam a fan of science fiction movies and tv shows but the problem is that the most of them
are garbage for my taste.
and almost all marvel superhero stuff belongs to that category...ok spider man and guardians of the galaxy was not that bad at all. anyway i will give it a try and maybe i can change my mind a little bit
about the hole marvel trash...you never know

@ CL-Ed
her in germany the avengers: infinity war is released for kids over 12 years and i swear you...if
you came to a german cinema with a group of kids 7-8 year old the dont let you see the movie for sure.
it dont matter if adults are with them...no chance

cheers

I am still thinking whether I should see this movie or not...
I prefer DC comics movies to Marvel, hahaha.

Anyway, I have been ill around 10 days, so couldn't move anywhere,
Now I am getting over it, so I am thinking again 🙂

Hope you're feeling better! You should definitely go see it. It's a ton of fun. My son wants to go see it again, so I have to find some time to take him.. it's definitely made for the fans.

I am very curious about this latest marvel movie, seeing the rating is pretty good, but the movie screening schedule in the cinema is always crossed with my schedule, I will try to be absent from work to see this new movie 🙂

I finally saw this movie last week. Well... I think that this movie is good.

I don't really know about the individual stories of the characters in the movie, but, it seems that the stories were patched together without big holes... I am anticipating for the next one 🙂

Yeah, I think a big assumption that is the viewer has seen the majority of the films leading up to it. That makes the connection with the characters stronger, but even if you haven't seen most of them, there's still a lot to enjoy with that film. 11 months to the next one!
