Hello everyone.

Last week I invested in bitcoins hoping to gain something in the next months/years. Do somebody else have bitcoins here?

Do you think it will reach $500000 in the next 3 years like John McAfee said? 😀

I wonder what happening to the bitcoin in the past 24h especially, the rate is 11600$ as I'm writing that, enormous fail, it's like 50% drop in value from the last week, anyone aware why is that?I'm not.

Because the smart people pulled money when the bubble was filled up with hot air from people saying that its going to hit 100k. Any surge like that is unsustainable, no matter the market/product/investment.

Here's hoping nobody here got taken for a ride.

I'm not one of these smart people Slim 😉 it's back to over 13k now so I guess it would raise a bit in the next days, but quite up and down rate.

This doesn’t sound legit at all, BTC has been climbing too fast in recent years for a company to be offering a promo like this I would think.

Has anybody is the past, or presently ever had an account with Coinbase, how did you find their services? I recently registered there and purchased BTC , only to realize later that their options are limited to me, living in Canada. I can purchase all I want, but can’t sell any of it, not offered in Canada right now, transferring only to coinbase accounts or else the fees are incredibly stupid. I should have payed more attention to everything right from the start, so at my expense and my own fault I should add, in the end, I was able to get my 40$ worth of BTC out of coinbase and into my BTC wallet outside of Coinbase, but it cost me, I paid 40$ into BTC and in the end after paying the crazy fees, I ended up with $4.57 worth of BTC a week later. I was unable to contact support the entire week, I couldn’t find any help in their self help section so I decided to try and do things on my own, and I lost my money in doing so. Make sure you know what you’re getting into before investing your money people, don’t make the same mistakes that I just made .

Probably, many countries will put regulations on BTC. Here in Korea, it is much more of a fraudulent speculations than investment.

Yeah I have a Coinbase account like few others here, using it to purchase mainly small amount of bitcoins trough my card, for selling back to Coinbase you need to have a verified bank account at least here in Bulgaria but probably different restrictions in Canada.
The so called "miner fees" are just crazy at the moment because of the bitcoin network being overloaded, it's not just a Coinbase issue although they have some of the highest fees out there I guess.

This is the first time I bought my own BTC , I usually acquired it by other means, auction sites, eBay, the CL store, and into a BTC wallet that I have had awhile and trust. I should have done more research before my last venture. Live and learn for next time I guess lol

Biggest issue with bitcoin that I am finding lately is ridiculous high fees for sending transactions , the mining fee to send 20$ is about 15$ which is completely pointless shape-shift recommends only only shifting btc to another coin if you going to shifting 250$ worth or more , I find myself using more ether and dash these days when playing on my favorite dice sites

I think Bitcoin suddenly has appeared, and can sudden collapse. In my opinion bitcoin is a pyramid. And what will happen next is unknown. But everything your money to invest in bitcoins it is insane! If you have more money (special for investment) you can play and to invest through bitcoin!I don't believe in bitcoins and I don't play the market I have no clue what it is. In bitcoins won by those who received them in the beginning. Now that's crazy.I think so.

Yes agreed with all you saying there mate, fees are ridiculous these days and as far as I know at some sites are even lot higher than those 15$ you're mentioned, it probably will be reduced in time but for now not relevant at all making transactions in btc.

That's a strong words there, I don't think it has any to do with a pyramid shceme! Anyone could have his own understanding of bitcoin but usually people who don't understand how the btc works in general are quick to denied it.
I'm not an expert at all but expecting bitcoin value (as that of some other cryptos) going up in the next months or so.

WaroftheGods, from what I have read a lot of Canadians use a site called QuadrigaCX to buy and sell bitcoin in Canada.

Bitcoin fees are high at the moment if you want or need to make a quick transaction. It seems it has become too popular too quickly and it is struggling to cope with the rapid increase in transaction volume. If you have the option of using another coin for small transactions then I would go for Litecoin or Ethereum. It is usually pretty simple to convert your BTC to one of those if you have it on an exchange like Coinbase.

Hey thanks for the info CL-Ed , much appreciated, I'll check that out for sure. The past few weeks I haven't been able to deposit BTC into any casino, It costs way too much for anything paid higher then the low fee and paying the low fee has seen every deposit attempt dropped and sent back to me days later. Never considered converting my btc to another coin.Once my previous deposit attempt gets sent back to me I'll give it a try, it's been unconfirmed and pending for 26 hours now lol

In the words of Andel makes sense.Yes, it may be so perhaps .But while Bitcoin is existing we can play! I would not keep my all money in the Bitcoins. This is convenient to use for playing on the Bitcoin course temporarily. This in my opinion.

Yes agree with Andel. It was necessary to stand at the very beginning of this pyramid to play at the bitcoin. Or, I think, it needs to good understand these political games. I am far from all of this, so it never even occurred to me to contact this mythical currency.

The rate drops as low as $10k these days, seems like it really going down now, too bad for those who have invested some serious funds in bitcoin.

As you might remember, the value of BTC began to go up sharply right after Brexit, which gave manipulators and speculators good reasons (ex. Euro Zone crisis) to make other innocent investors to rush.

So, the reasonable value is the amount before the Brexit, as I suppose, even though it might have been over evaluated at that moment.

Never thought of that coolsongss but what you saying seems reasonable to me, but don't think the value is over evaluated, think the rate will steadily goes up in the next months.

I would be happy if bitcoin on the day fell to $ 1 , and then would rise to 20 000 🤑))) And I would have bought in time 1000 bitcoins ))))

Not very realistic but the rate is pretty low now, good time of investing I guess.

It's a really good observation. It's cool! I think you're absolutely right. And when still China starts playing bitcoin, who can resist it? Bitcoin start to fluctuate . Lucky humans who bought before Brexit and before Chinese tricks.xD Bitcoin is a handy invention, it's just that you can not kill it, but bitcoin is not as independent as it is said. I think so! 🤔 Bitcoin just buy is difficult, but to earn it in different ways in this makes sense, although bitcoin will fall very many times and strongly, but it will rise too.I think so. 🤔

I do not think so...I believe it will increase but not to that amount.
There are other Crypto Currencies that will start taking the lime light.
My opinion 🙂

Yeah I believe you have a point there Dina, although I'm not using any other Cryptos at the minute, still believe Bitcoin would rise a bit but like you said maybe not as sharply as it happened previously.

I agree with Dina, there are a few that seem to just slowly keep climbing, I was so close to investing some serious funds toward BTC, I was seriously thinking about it, not too sure why I didn't though, I guess I got lucky, maybe I'll procrastinate tomorrow lol

In the last two years bitcoin has dropped substantially in between the months of January and March so even though it may be loosing value currently I would not be surprised if it starts to climb up quickly from April onward

Thanks for sharing your observations Lambino, think you could be right about it, I have the same feeling that the rate is going to raise significantly in the next months but I haven't noticed previously that particularly in the beginning of every year it's been down before you mentioned it.

In the old days, the money was gold, then paper, hidden, they depreciated, and now they are trying to turn the money into super conditional units. On the one hand, this currency is independent. But if you look at it, can zero be dependent? And what does it mean that bitcoin jumps in price? Maybe these crepto-currencies are the hoax of the 21st century.) But maybe this is the future of our banking system. Therefore, a couple of bitcoins I have.))))But I think that bitcoin will not grow as it is predicted, because the currency is valuable when it is used by the whole world. And here the tense political situation on the world stage. It will grow, but slowly. I think so)))This is my opinion of the accountant))) 🌹
