I don't even plan to come close this year, unless I get really busy watching!
I don't know about most of the movies yet, and as a result, many nominees.
I have really wanted to see Nocturnal Animals for a very long time. Has anyone seen that movie yet?

StaffI am in the same boat, life has been a bit too busy to get out to see any movies. However, I've heard great things about Lion and really want to see La La Land, I mean who doesn't want to see Ryan Gosling on the big screen??!! 😘
Having said that, while Gosling provides satisfying eye candy, friends who have seen La La Land haven't raved about it so am quite surprised it managed to get so many nominations.

After I read that Klaw's post I've had to googled him Ed 😉 and it appears that he's a nice good looking guy if you're a girl I guess...just a guess 😀 so I wasn't aware who he is too.

Yay! I will be watching for it.
I used to watch only two award shows: the Grammys and the Academy Awards. The past few years, I haven't bothered with the Grammys, because they seem to have changed so much and are not the type of music I am into anymore. However, tonight there will be a Prince tribute, so I might watch - or catch highlights tomorrow, if I decide to go to bed early. I really do get excited for the Academy Awards, though, and I have to start watching some movies! I have only seen a few so far. I really have been wanting to see Nocturnal Animals (Michael Shannon's nomination) and several others.

Apparently there were lots of political statements made, Adele buggered up her George Michael tribute and and many felt Beyonce was robbed of the Album of the Year award, even Adele, who won it!
Ahh, awards ceremonies, what would they be without controversy?
