Typical Trump: a big-noting blowhard. I'm not his friend! lol

How on earth does this buffoon seemingly have a chance at becoming president of the United States? How could anyone think that he cares about anything other than himself?

It's scary man. In Michigan we had our primary last week. You should have seen some of the people at the polls who support him. I ended up going with Bernie (Colonel) Sanders, and I'm happy he took our state. Still, the thought of Trump as a possibility for president is shocking, and makes me think I may be moving to the Bahamas sooner than planned.

I'm not at all interested in politics and not quite sure what exactly Trump story is, but I think the US had some funny guys for presidents before and I'm not exactly sure why everybody are so sure that he would be like the worst president ever? Tongue

This guy isn't funny - he's a maniac.

For example he has seriously suggested that to keep all the "Mexican rapists" out of America they should build a wall along the entire border between the two countries. Plus he said he's going to make Mexico pay for it.

He wants to invade Iraq again. And he wants to ban windmills and handshakes. Seriously.

Here are a few of his other classics.

There's a wonderful take down of Trump by John Oliver on Last Week Tonight.

I attached it here for anyone who wants to check it out.

Well, when I woke up in 1998 and realized this man was the new Governor of my state, I realized anything can happen. (However, he did end up doing some good things for our state, including lowering property taxes for a time and ridding us of emission tests, etc.). But I would be even more frightened if Trump made it to the presidency, and I am so upset that he took all the Florida delegates last night. Ugh.

I agree he is dangerous and so are his supporters. Did you hear about the supporter who punched the guy in the nose, then said something like, "Next time I should kill him?" And Trump does nothing to discourage this type of hate. He makes insane promises and doesn't say one word about how he will achieve anything.

I am getting so disgusted with politics, I am ALMOST ready to vote for Vermin Supreme. He wears a boot on his head, carries a toothbrush around in the name of promoting good dental hygiene, and he promises "free ponies for everyone." He seems almost normal compared to some. Yes, CL-Friends, this is America.

Yay! I want a pony! Vermin Supreme doesn't seem to be offering up any less crazy policies than Trump.

I think people are just generally sick of politicians and Trump speaks to the basest of human instincts - protect ourselves at all costs, stuff everyone else. When people are down and out and are given a boogie man to blame for their problems they just lap up this sort of thing. It will be a scary 4 years if Trump becomes President.....as if the world doesn't have enough problems to deal with!

But hey, we can't judge, Australia elected the Liberal Party who had one of the most loathsome and conservative pigs of a man as their leader. Thankfully we only had him for about 2 years but that was 2 years too many!

More people than I thought are Trump supporters in Russia. I've heard comments varying from "He is a fan of Putin" to "He's bad for America. That's good for Russia"
Meanwhile, I'm humming the star wars theme song, worrying about World War III

Did you know that The Simpsons made an episode 16 years ago where Bart Simpson dreams of the future and America has gone down the toilet, so president Lisa Simpson has to fix up the mess created by the previous president... yep Donald Trump.

I love this quote from Dan Greaney, the writer of the episode:

Quote:

And that just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom. It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane.

Sure all good minded American folk are welcome here. Just make sure you fly in and don't arrive in a boat or our scummy government "border force" (yes that is their real name, Trump would like it) might jail you on a pacific island indefinitely for a few years like they are doing with refugees from other similarly screwed up countries run by tinpot dictators.

Oh all right .. yes I am teasing you a bit. Sorry I couldn't resist! lol

In reality, surely there aren't THAT many people in the USA who are both smart enough to work out how to vote and dumb enough to vote for this fraud. It may yet be the thing that saves you guys from El Presidente Trump!

Sadly, that he got this far is a testament to just how dumb people are here! I am seriously, extremely frightened for our broken nation right now

Thanks for the offer but you did have me worried for a bit there. haha! You are too funny. Smile

I was saying to someone else a while back, never mind building a wall to keep the Mexicans out - if he wins he might have to build one along the border with Canada to keep Americans in.

It really is concerning to see that some reasonably intelligent people are considering voting for this clown. I'm thrilled that Ted Cruz is out of it, but concerned about the prospect of a Trump presidency.

I have relatives, friends, and other people I know who like him because "he says whatever he's thinking and doesn't care who he offends" and that "he's so rich and successful, so he'll be great for the economy". Both are very shallow arguments for the guy, as he has no real policy proposals that he's put out there.

I really, REALLY need to start getting working on my Bahamas property!
