Flu Season....

6 replies • Last post

....is at its peak. I just heard this last Friday, and I woke up on Saturday with a temperature of 101.7, sore chest, chills, body aches, you name it. Yup. I had to prove them right.

I finally went to Urgent Care on Wednesday and came home with more meds than I ever thought possible: a nebulizer machine and meds to go in that, an albuterol inhaler, tamaflu, prednisone, cough syrup, and mucinex.

I missed four days of work this week, and the bad news I get paid hourly - NO sick time. I had no business going in today, but I had to get paid for at least one day of work, so I went in and tried to keep my distance from everyone.

I haven't had the flu since I was a child. This is honestly no fun.

I hope you are all staying healthy, and this is just my reminder to wash your hands and sanitize everything!

Stay healthy, CL Friends! Smile

Thank you. I am beginning to feel like I will never get better. I really have no patience for this.

We are having gorgeous weather here, and I can only enjoy it through an open bedroom window. This is lasting forever. I DO have to go into work tomorrow - I really don't have a choice anymore. And my birthday weekend is coming up and my sons are bringing me to a concert, so I really have to start getting well soon. This is dragging on forever. I don't wish this on my worst enemy. Stay well everyone!

The weather is warming up here too, and I am feeling like I am coming down with something again. I had the flu once this season, and I am feeling really achy in my joints (although my arthritis medicine ran out) and have the cold/hot thing going on today. Hopefully it's nothing major.

The flu has been really bad here this year, which is surprising considering how awful the weather has been the last two years compared to this year. Feel better Hope!

So sorry to hear you have already had the flu once this year, 'Slim! May I ask if you got a flu shot? I haven't gotten one for years, but now I question my judgement, of course.

My neighbor was just telling me today that so many women in our apartment building are complaining about aches and pains - even the younger women. Not sure if it is this old building or the weather or what, but we all just need to get and stay healthy!

Beautiful day here today - 71 degrees which is way above average. I did manage to work a few hours and take Otis for a little walk. I was so weak this morning, I didn't think I would make it through the day, but I am determined.

My sons are bringing me to a concert on my birthday on Saturday and it doesn't start until 8pm which is past my bedtime on a good day. haha! Wink So I need to rest up.
