Football player guilty of murder, will spend rest of his life in prison

3 replies • Last post

I know a lot of you aren't NFL football fans out there, but I saw this story today and wanted to share it with you.

There is a guy named Aaron Hernandez who played professional football for the New England Patriots, one of the most successful teams in the league. He had it made, was making millions playing football, but he was an absolute thug. Shortly after receiving a multi-million dollar contract extension he shot and killed his "friend", and was convicted of that crime today. He will spend the rest of his life in prison.

To make matters worse, he is also facing charges for a double murder wherein he is accused of doing a drive by shooting of two guys in 2012.

If you want to read the story, you can do so here or at any other major news outlet.

What are your thoughts?

If he did it then he got what he deserved. Being a professional athlete doesn't matter. From what I have seen a good proportion of professional sportsmen in loads of different sports are halfwits.

Oh I definitely agree that he got what was coming to him. He was originally pegged to go in the first-second round of the NFL draft, but the teams looked into his background and thought he was a character risk, and he dropped to the fourth round, which cost him millions in salary, but he eventually signed a $40 million extension right before he killed this guy.

I just can't fathom it. How dumb do you need to be?

Oh it's really shocking. I personally known about him Aaron Hernandez. But what he did? He killed his own friend. It's really bad news for the Aaron Hernandez fans.
