How difficult to make own website of sports betting?

6 replies • Last post

Hello, friends!
I'm interested in this question: how with minimal effort and most productive to make my own website - sports betting??? Or make the network of sites.
How much income can be obtained and what budget is needed to start?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure I can really answer that as I don't have a sports betting website. However one things struck me about your post: "minimal effort". There are loads of good websites that specialise on sports betting. How do you think you're going to make one that is better than what is already there with minimal effort?. It isn't going to happen without a lot of hard work and expertise.

Agree with Ed: a legit sportsbetting site is a very intense effort that requires a bunch of time for content. If you are looking to actually get a site that offers odds and such it will be even harder as you have to obtain licenses, pay for software, and more. I am sure it is a real headache.

Even sportsbetting affiliate sites are hard. I tried setting one up back last year and I became too busy to keep it updated. The entire thing cost me countless hours of time and has netted me little in results.

The minimal effort part is what will sink you. If you are serious, definitely look into it, but if you want to put in minimal effort you will get minimal results.

Think of it this way: How easy is it to create a social networking site like Facebook? The easy part is to get a programmer to create the site for you. That might take a couple of grand. But after the site is completed, what do you do? How do you get users to come to your site? Can you compete with Facebook which spends millions of dollars on advertisement, affiliates, content writers, lawyers, security etc? MySpace had millions in the bank and could not compete with Facebook. How do you do it with less money?

This is not to say you can't be successful in creating a sports betting site. But you have to have money and a plan to attract customers and take on your big competitors, who are used to these kinds of fight. In sum, it does not take a lot of money to create the site, but running the site will. Even if you have the money to run the site, that does not guarantee success. For example, backed by Comcast's money, vehix.com spent millions to take on autotrader.com and they lost. However, when godaddy.com started, it took on many in the industry, including register.com and networksolutions.com and was successful. Therefore, you have to have the money and be ready to lose it.

Thank you, I will see this option. I've found a site of that company.

lol Come on Retairnis and Yuierdo, that is a laughable attempt at spamming. Pro-tip: use different IP addresses.
