UFO over Bascillica of St. Mary's in Minneapolis, MN

13 replies • Last post

This video shows something out of the ordinary above the Bascillica of St Mary, a gorgeous landmark cathedral in downtown Minneapolis. Some of you may remember that my sons and I have attended their block parties for many years (they have a well-known outdoor rock concert every year in July to raise money to maintain the building and grounds, for two nights. We used to go for many years in a row, one of the two nights, and we have seen many awesome bands because of it). I posted that information before, including photos of the gorgeous Bascillica.

Anyway, my son told me he heard this on the radio, so I had to look it up. I always think there has to be some explanation, but this is an interesting video.

From one of the articles:

"The objects themselves were dual colors. They looked like two square lights of some sort attached to one another, which you can't tell from the video due to the low quality. If I remember correctly the colors were a solid blue and green, but don't quote me on that... I can't recall for sure. In the video each object appears a different color versus each being a dual color."

The SECOND link is the video I watched.

So this guy on You Tube explains it was HIM flying his DJI Phantom Quadcoptor over the Basillica! This is too crazy. I guess one local hobby store says they have sold like 40 of those in the past six months, at $1600.00 a pop. What a hobby!

Check it out!

Some of the other videos are amazing. The pictures are so clear and some are so beautiful! But quite the expensive hobby!

That is an interesting video. The video itself is really poor quality and lots of movement, but there is still enough good video that shows the objects kind of like drift easily. It's like the objects slide. Definitely not a plane. He said he thought he heard propeller noise, but afterward realized it was downtown noise. My first thought was they were drones, but I wouldn't think they would get that close to each other. Thanks for sharing.

I think we posted at the same time. Check out the update! Smile

And, yes, the guy admits it was a poor video, but he only had his phone with him at the time. But it was interesting enough that he made the news, lol. The news vid is on the same page, which much speculation and ends up the conclusion they came to was right, according to the update.

The article did have a point that near the end of the video the object goes downward not upward as we would expect a craft to do. I once saw a guy with an airplane that took video in air. That was neat. Lots of people have money to burn! That would really be fun to see the video it returns.
