Both return on Sunday night. I am PSYCHED!
This will be the final season of both of these fine shows, and I will dearly miss them both. Luther has incredibly short seasons, which seriously bums me out. However, there has been talk of a Luther movie, which I am all for, because I can't get enough Idris Elba! lol
Time for Dexter to go, because the story has to end somewhere. I think they will go out on a high note, so even though I know it is time to say good-bye, I will miss this show.

Forum AngelI started watching season 1 of Dexter and really liked it, but then my normal tv shows came back on and I lost my place... I need to start it up again.

LuckyMe Forum AngelI watched an episode of Luther and didn't get into it, don't remember why. Both trailers look good though, except Dexter looks like a lot of gore. Do you think I would like Dexter or is it too violent for my tastes?
hope777 Forum AngelDexter is violent, without a doubt, but the story line is also very interesting. He is a blood-spatter analyst by day, serial killer by night, and he has a "code" (not really a spoiler, cuz you learn this right away) where he only kills the "bad guys." The show IS dark, but also one where you get attached to the different characters on the show and love some and hate some, lol
'Slim, the first two seasons of Luther are on Netflix free to stream and comes from the BBC. They have VERY short seasons. 😢 The main character, Idris Elba, played Stringer Bell on The Wire, who was an drug dealer (with an American accent) Luther is a British (his real accent, lol) detective, so quite the opposite role. They said they would rather make four to six quality episodes than make a long season with less, but I don't like it, lol, since I am a huge Luther fan.
Supposedly, this is the last very short season, then Luther fans are hoping for a Luther movie. I can only hope! 🙂
