The Slot Guru.

6 replies • Last post

There is this guy who always ends up on the big winners page of my local casino. Interestingly, I looked up the dude and found out he goes by the name "The Slot Guru".

He says that he has won $10.7 million in slots over the years, and he is seriously in a ton of big win photos.

I know slots are all luck, but I thought his story was cool, and I found this YouTube video of him.

What do you think?

OMGosh, 'Slim, OMG! I am SO SO happy you posted this! My brother told me about this guy a year or two ago, and I searched all over trying to Google different things to find him so I could share his story with CL, and I could not find it anywhere! Then I kind of forgot about it, and I wanted to see him and/or read about him SO bad! My brother had told me he was a younger guy, and I just could not find him no matter what I Googled. I am thrilled to finally watch that video!

This guy is amazing, and like my brother had told me, he says part of his secret to winning is the giving. I honestly wish projecting and thinking positive made it that easy, because I promise you every time I walk into the casino, I am thinking and sending POSITIVE thoughts and nothing happens. lol

I am definitely going to check out his website. Looked like he was betting max on most of the machines, too. I can imagine his taxes every year. But if he has made 10 million and he says he has only spent (only, lol) two million to get that, then I guess he is happy to pay his taxes. I say MORE POWER TO HIM!!!

LMAO @ "pull your pants up while I am talking to you." (at the end of the video)

You should go there and shadow him, 'Slim. He might hand you some money or a ticket or maybe he will even give you some tips to win big, lol! 😉 🙂

I freely admit that I am a cynic and I don't buy that at all. Not one bit. That "SPEC method" and "believing in winning" stuff is complete and utter BS. If he has indeed won that much, then like every other slots winner he got lucky. No amount of karma or wishing to win is going to make it happen. No-one has kept a running count, so despite his claims you don't know how much he spent to win the $10 million, or even if he has won that much at all.

Now for a guy who believes in karma and kindness and giving away his winnings, I find it interesting that he is selling a book with his "secrets" to winning for $25 a pop. It would cost him nothing to give that away for free and surely then he would be spreading the love. What he has done successfully is branded himself very well, convinced a TV crew to film him in his beamer with his website address plastered all over it, showing his big house that he rents (WTF?), and walking around the casino giving away a bit of money like Robin Hood. Excellent marketing.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this guy is just like every other casino "system" and "secret" seller, nothing but a snake oil salesman. Don't believe the hype!

If positive thinking DID work, I would be rich, lol.

I said the same thing to my son about the book. If he is this rich, why isn't he giving the book away, like an E-book online or something?

I wonder how many people put "professional gambler" down on their tax returns? lol

Oh yes. I think it is all luck as well, as there is no way you can do a slot system, much in the same way you can't rig a roulette system. Big wins are easier to pile up when you are hitting $10-$20 per pull ($1,000 would be either 100x or 50x your initial bet) and may not look that impressive when you couple it with someone winning $100 on a $1 bet.

I just thought it was cool to see this guy on the winner pages all the time and to hear his story. I liked the "pull up your pants when you are talking to me" part and his whole spiel on karma.

That being said, I'd never pay to read a book he put out, but I'd sure as hell walk up to him and say hi if I saw him at the Soaring Eagle!
