Did you like The Blind Side?

5 replies • Last post

Remember that movie? If you liked it, you will likely enjoy watching the documentary I watched with my youngest son last night.

I wanted to put this in a separate post, because I am not sure how many read the movie reviews thread, and I wanted as many as possible to see this.

This is an awesome documentary! It is the amazing story, like The Blind Side, but this story is more from the perspective of three main players, and most of all, the SAINT of a coach who dedicated over six years of his life to these "difficult" (to say the least) young men.

I say Saint, because this man had true compassion and patience and energy abounding to get and keep these young men on track, while trying to be a husband and father to his wife and four children. People like this coach are truly rare, and through his efforts and sacrifices he changed the lives of many young men others had long given up on.

This is one touching documentary.

Interesting. From IMDB:

"Was rejected by the prestigious Sundance festival in 2012, so its directors was accepted and shown at the South By Southwest Festival in Austin--where it was bought for distribution and went on to win the Oscar for Best Documentary"

Thanks Hope. I will have to watch this sometime. Do you ever have trouble playing movies from Netflix or Hulu? Recently, they have been "hanging" on one computer, but not the other. I run into it occasionally, but more with tv shows.

Yes Netflix movies drag on my computer, even my new one. I know it is not my computer, because all other shows and movies I stream from other sites don 't have that problem. That is why I watch most Netflix free to stream shows and movies on our TV. We don't have an issue when watching on the television. Not sure what the deal is with them.

I think you would like that documentary. Your BF might also like it. I still want to see Man on a Wire.
