Hello CL-Friends,
I just have to share this funny story with you.
If you read the Latest Movies thread, you will see I gave my two cents about the movie called The Sessions.
I was talking to my mom on the phone the other night, and she had just seen Silver Linings Playlist with her friends. I know she goes out to movies, now and then, so I kind of wanted to warn her about The Sessions. My 84-year-old mom is NOT the type who would be able to handle such a film. So, I told her about Helen Hunt going "full frontal," and I explained the premise of the movie to her. I told her I really liked the film, but I was not sure it would be a movie for her.
So, I get a call last night, and the first thing my mom says to me is this:
"You know when you were telling me about that movie? Well, was the woman REALLY naked and they showed SEX? I mean, you didn't accidentally happen upon some PORNOGRAPHY, did you?"
Now I almost choked on my coffee, and I had to resist the urge to LMAO, because my mom was SERIOUS!
She even discussed this with her woman friends at the Super Bowl party she attended in Florida. And she must have given our conversation some serious thought!
She said "people can't be naked in regular movies, can they?" LOL! Oh, the innocence of it all. I told her that even on Cable TV shows they show "full frontal" (I almost said "full pene," but that would have been WAY too much for her. ROFL!
I just thought you all might get a kick out of this. I know I sure did. 🙂

High Rollerthat was to funny hope! made think of when i was growing up and anyone in class someone would see a movie with nudity in it and come back to school and tell everyone next thing you know it was a race to see who could rent it that night. i remember when basic instinct came out the whole sharon stone scene yeai tried renting it and mom was on to me since that wasnt my type of movie and she asked the lady at the counter and my cover was blown! needless to say i had to wait for that one lol. but i still friday the 13th for all that fun stuff lol

Last year I was at her house and she was telling me about this audio book she was listening to (macular degeneration makes it hard for her to see). I asked about the main character and she said "Oh, he is a bad mother *ucker!"
I about fell out of my seat. Old people can't say that can they?!?
hope777 Forum AngelLol! That is too funny, 'Slim. I have only said the "f" word ONE time in front of my mom, when a guy cut her off in traffic, and she clearly was NOT happy with ME. lol Why is it so funny when older people swear like that? And to say a "bad" one, too, lmao!
BF, I was really strict on what my sons watched when they were younger, so they would just go watch at someone else house. And when oldest son turned 16 he rented every horror film I would not let him watch in the past, lol.
I am WAY more laid back now that they are older. Kind of the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" mentality. I know my boys have been shocked by some things that come out of my mouth, but I figure I give them a taste of their own medicine. lol Oh, if MY mom only knew......
I still can't get over how worried she was about me. She also said, "Oh, I know if that happened to you, you would turn that right off." lmao! 😉 😜

bobafett0820 High Rollerthat will be the day a porn start gets one of those lol! my passed in 2008 and even up till then i watched what i said around her. even though i was a 1.5 ft taller then her she would still put me on my butt lol. even now my best friend's mom is like my mom we are that close and i have dropped a f bomb in front of her or she has heard me and him saying things we shouldnt (oops) and shes 5ft and she will climb us like a tree and set us strait lol
