Oh no BF.. so far the IRS is 😠 about anything and everything! I may have to pay taxes this time so I'm filing it with caution. On the positive side, they may grant you the benefit of the doubt. GL

well i spent 3 hrs on the phone with turbotax since i have there audit defense and the good thing is they think its gonna be nothing. since my return is always about the same they think it from me claiming unemployment(alot of those are getting audited this year) if anything ill just have to show were i wasnt making money during that time. or it just moght be one of those small things that they may just let it go! i hope its fast i need that money asap!!!!!!

I got my filed on January 30th, and am expecting to have mine by February 20th.

I am going to put some carpet tiles down in my kids' playroom for them to keep warm in (currently its just vinyl tile), and my wife is going to buy some cabinet treatment to paint the kitchen.

We are slowly but surely building up our house in order to sell. Tax time is always a good time for us to get one or two things done to help toward that goal.

We also take a portion of our tax money to pay off our mortgage for the year. That always seems to help knock some off our monthly budget too.

This is the most depressing topic of my life. I thought I would get at least a LITTLE something back this year, after struggling on unemployment all year long. But I pay in yet another year. When one no longer has dependents, it is NOT fun at tax time. And if I have any more taken out of my checks, I honestly would not have enough to live on throughout the year. So, between a rock and a hard place. The poor get poorer and the rich find and get the tax breaks.

My oldest son: same story. He struggled all year long, and he gets VERY little back from federal and two bucks from state, which is not even worth the stamp.

So damn depressing. 😢

Not expecting to get a penny back, but will use some type of online tax program to make sure. It's faster and easier that way. If we did get anything back it would go towards getting another vehicle.

It's hard waiting when you need the money. I will picture the money in your account soon. 🙂
