What is for Dinner Tonight?

13 replies • Last post

Hi Friends!

I thought it might be fun to post what we make for dinner.

I just finished my second batch of homemade mac and cheese: comfort food for the winter. My son liked it so much, he asked me to make another batch. I love the bread crumbs on top with pats of REAL butter: Yum! Served with a salad and a nice bread or bread stick and lots of cheese, of course!

Tonight I am making something I RARELY make, but it is cheap and easy: Hamburger gravy over mashed potatoes. Not the healthiest meal, either, but comfort food again. lol

I am also craving Chili, so I have to make another batch soon.

What is for dinner tonight at your house?

Any good superbowl snacks tonight? My oldest son is making nachos and I am making a dessert. That is it for us! 🙂

I made a big batch of chili last night, as I have been craving it. We had chili with sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese, cheese and crackers and french bread. No veggie lol But it was yummy! Probably have the same thing tonight. Chili is even better the second day. 🙂

Sounds very good!

I got VERY lazy and super hungry and broke down and ordered pizza, even though I cannot afford it. I was in on of those "I don't give a damn" moods, lol! Canadian bacon pizza with cheese sticks, marinara sauce and a two liter of coke. lol Healthy dinner.

Oh geez, I was supposed to make meatloaf, but here I am. Better go find a recipe, and it's late here, guess we will have it for tomorrow.

Ok, meatloaf in the oven. No milk. Grr I hate when I don't have the right ingredients.

Oh, I LOVE meatloaf. One of my favorite comfort foods. I don't make it often, because I am the only one here who really, really likes it. I can't make it tomorrow, because I have to figure out what to make with only ONE pound of hamburger. I will have to have meatloaf when I visit my mom, because she loves it, too. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Yum. What I would not give for some right now. lol

I had a horrible dinner. Burritos, but the premade frozen kind warmed up in the microwave. We really need to go shopping soon. lol My oldest son had already grabbed something and youngest son was out to dinner with his cousin, so that was that.

I had a meatloaf sandwich today. Made mashed potatoes for boyfriend last night, sine he can't eat much solid food for a little bit.

You have now made me hungry again Hope. Had some caramel rice cakes earlier. yum
