To My Friends

Here goes:

Thank you, bobafett, and you, too!

Everyone here was so good to me when I was going through everything with Otis and so kind and supportive. It is amazing how we can actually develop friendships online these days, with people we have never met and most will never meet. I remember the first time I developed online friendships was on a dachshund board. Otis had his back surgery and everyone rallied around me and sent him care packages, and I could not believe the kindness of virtual strangers.

I also have known LuckyMe for about five years now, and we met online. I would love to meet her in real life someday, because she is one of the best friends I have ever had.

Everyone here is so nice and so much fun, and I have so enjoyed getting to know you, Ubetcha, LuckyWalker, 'Slim, and of course, CL-Ed and there were others before who I wish would visit now and then.

There is definitely a great group of virtual friends here at CL! 🙂

I agree with you, CL-Ed that there is good and bad, but that will happen with anything new and with changes and growth in this age of information. I do believe the friendship and connections are a huge plus. I think the first time I ever "chatted" with someone from another country was during online poker play. I remember thinking how amazing it was to be chatting with someone from England, lol. On another site, I have a friend from Egypt, and them of course this site has a wide variety of places represented by its members.

Yes, it is a small world now, in many more ways. 🙂
