Yes, it is ridiculous. If someone truly had that "fool proof" system out there, they would be rich, and so would the rest of us, lol!
I am on one other "social site" that NEVER used to get spam. Then this crazy group of spammers found the site, and now they fill up the forum with their posts. And the thing is nothing they are advertising has anything remotely to do with the site. PLUS it is a site basically without a moderator, where the members pretty much run the site (Web 2.0), so there is no deleting or discouraging them. The only thing we can do is bump their threads to the bottom and off the page. It is so annoying! ðŸ˜

StaffAny forum has to have spam controls in place these days. Its not just about selling stuff for the spammers - a lot of it is trying to get a link to their website on your site as it helps with their search engine rankings.
We catch loads of it before it gets published but the spamming scumbags are persistent as they are paid to do it. So they try over and over until a post gets through. And then we have to clean it up. We're thankful that the members here can help with the housekeeping because its a never ending job!

Sorry I haven't been here much. I actually completed some "domestic tasks" today, lol, in addition to accomplishing some online tasks, so I feel pretty good. But most of days are wasteful and lazy. Probably more days than yours, so we all deserve a day like that sometimes. I am staying HOME today and tomorrow, because the high today was 2 above and tomorrow the "high" is below zero. 😨 I am honestly ready for spring and summer! :'( 😎

And yes, I HATE this cold. I really do. I try to stay in, and I swear I would be happy to stay in and hibernate until spring if that were possible. I DO have the luxury of staying tomorrow, except to let the dog out, which I didn't have to do today: I made my sons let him out all day and night today, lol. I usually do it a lot and to let him out we have to go up and down three flights of stairs, then wait out there freezing while we wait for him to check all his peemail. lol!
