Going To Disney World

16 replies • Last post

My family and I are getting set to go to Disney World next week. I haven't been in like 12 years, so I am sure that it has changed quite a bit since I was last there. Do you have any recommendations about things we should see/do?

I am taking my 8 year old and 3 year old twins. We leave next Tuesday from Detroit and are flying into Orlando. Hopefully the weather will be nice there!

Slim Have a great time at Disneyland!!!I can think of lots of things for your 8 year old but don't know about the twins. I went in 07 the last time and took 3 teen agers and a 9 year old. We all really enjoyed epcot.

Again safe travels Slim!!!

Awesome, have a great time. I was lucky enough to visit Disney Land in LA on a family holiday as a teenager and we had a great time. Your kids will think you're the best!

Take lots of photos to share with us!

I haven't been there in forever, either. I went to Disney LAND more often, because my grandparents lived in CA while I was growing up.

Have fun! Smile

Yes, I got back on Tuesday and have been catching up on things on Wednesday, having Thanksgiving yesterday, and out getting some shopping done today.

I am POOPED. I need to rest my knee some. I think I have out walked it, lol.

Here's the first couple shots I have to share. More to come!

LOVE the photos! You took some good ones, and I look forward to more. Your kiddos are soooo cute, and I love the Incredible Hulk photo! lol The castle is so pretty, all lit up at night like that. Your daughter has such a nice smile.

Rest up, and we will wait patiently for more pics when you are ready to post. Awesome that you were out creating memories, though, as that will be a trip for you all to remember. Smile

Great photos, cute kids. How did the kids like the place? Were they overwhelmed with all there is to do? Looks like they were having fun.

They loved it, but were also exhausted by the end of the week. My oldest daughter and I rode every roller coaster that we could, and my little ones got wiped out from the whole experience.

Oh, I also got to see a lemur being castrated while at Animal Kingdom. Something I will never forget, and I feel bad for that little guy (and his grapes).

That is some information I could have gone without knowing. lol! Poor little lemur! Sad

I am glad they all had fun, and that you also wore the little ones out. Usually, it is the other way around, from what I remember. Wink

It was odd because I was watching the surgery and came in while they were cutting in there, and in my head I am thinking "That thing looks like a primate... oh cool, they are cutting into him... wait a second, that looks like... OH MAN!" Sick Cry

And then they just kind of stitched him off, took them out and put them on a table for everyone to see. Poor guy.
