Arizona

10 replies • Last post

Seens there are so many members in this forum I thought I would put an information request out there to help with some research I am doing for my parents and I.

I want to move into a age-restricted MHP in or around Apache Junction. My parents will stay with me in January feb and March.
Can anyone tell me which parks to avoid, which ones are fantastic and if they or someone they know have experiences with them.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sad to say, but I have never visited Arizona yet. I hope to one day. Good luck with finding a safe place for you and your parents.

My brother lived there, and I always swore I would move their someday, but so far, I have only visited.

My parents went, and mom still goes, to Florida. They would go to AZ every year, and one year mom asked dad to go to Florida. He said he would but only under the condition that she promised to go back to AZ the following years. They never went back to AZ. lol They love the water and they made so many good friends in Florida.

Where do you live now, LW? You are in Michigan right? Where do your parents live?

I will be jealous if you move to AZ, plus we won't be able to have our "Midwest Meetup!" 😢

We will have to all meet in VEGAS instead! 😉 🥳 😀

Good luck!

My cousin worked there and had moved to California. Sad to say AZ have controversies about the Immigration Law. On the other hand, it's just few miles to Sin City.. 😍 😎 🤑 😂

My parents live in Mi as well and my physician has recommended Az for me because of health issues. I need dry heat not the humidity of Florida.

Yes, my parents would have never dreamed of staying in FL in the summer. Now that Dad is gone, mom still comes home in the summer, but MN had its share of humidity this summer, too! Mom could never handle FL summers with her asthma, etc. But the winters are just beautiful.

I love the western states, too. AZ, NV, NM. I would love to live anywhere warm, but I DO love the water.

I hope you find a great place to live, but I am still jealous, lol!

Do you have a date in mind for the move? Let us know so we can all come visit. lol! 😉

I am looking @ march or so. I have started sorting and throwing away accumulated stuff from 17 years in my home and I will be down-sizing alot so some stuff will go to habitats of humanity. I thought that would be a good project to get me thru the winter in MI(hopefully last one for awhile) 😂

Well, I am a little sad we can't do our Midwest meet up now, lol. Like I said, when on of wins that HUGE jackpot, that person can pay for all of us to meet in Vegas. lol!

I am STILL going through boxes from when I moved from my three bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bath townhouse to my one bedroom apartment. I still have a ton to get rid of, and it does feel good when I actually work on doing so. I won't move again until it is ALL done.

That will keep you busy for the winter for sure. 🙂

We recently moved. I swore that I will never move that many boxes again. I've given away lots, but still have too much stuff. We moved to a smaller house and there is not much room.

I lived in Colorado for a short time. The weather really made my health better. I hope your move does the same for you.

I hear ya. I have a coat on while the young kids have on a t-shirt. Makes me feel old. Colorado is sunny about 350 days a year. That's a winter that easier to get through when the sun is shining. Hope AZ is sunny too.
