No way in hell. Read up on it first. I have no idea what's in those shots.

I have been out of the habit for so many years now, and I doubt this year will be different.

I am seeing a new doctor, and I just saw her on Tuesday. The nurse asked me about the flu shot, and I said I would discuss it with the doctor, then forgot. She is an integrative physician, and that, combined with my specific "issues," I was curious to hear what she would say. I will have to email her, as she is great with getting right back to me.

I used to do in-home child care for years, and during that time, and also when my boys were younger, I always got the flu shot. My middle son had asthma, so I also wanted to make sure I didn't pass anything on to him. I would get them flu shots, too, now none of them do it, and neither do I. I am NOT one who says the shot makes them sick. I don't have an issue with it that way, but I am just kind of out of the habit and do wonder about the controversies sometimes.

I am sure you did not anticipate that wordy of an answer, lol.

I did NOT get the swine flu shot. Did anyone get THAT shot? That had controversy surrounding it even more than the regular flu shot.

What about a pneumonia shot? My mom gets that, and I know they recommend that, too, for people of "a certain age" and for smokers and people with asthma, etc.

If you get a shot every year, what is causing you to re-think getting one this year?

@ LuckyMe.. it's getting expensive as the years go by and my insurance never pays for it. Anyways, I have to have it, I get sick alright but not too sick when I get vaccinated. Yesterday, I went to my local store pharmacy and paid $22.

We are expected to pay a lot of things out of pocket anymore. I hope you don't get sick this year. 🙂

Afterall, I still could get sick but hoping not too sick not to go to work. Stable jobs are getting harder to come by and most corporations are raising the bar on attendance policy. 😢

I had my flu shot already this year, I will get it again in December. Remember all the bad things are preservatives in it, and MSG is in almost all our foods today, You go to a hospital to get the flu shot, because they ask you a slew of questions regarding health history, so one does not have an allergic reaction to it.

I never have 2 flu shots in a year. I don't like needles but to my surprised it's getting thinner & shorter. It felt nothing until the drug rushing in my veins.. lol
