What Speed Internet Connection Do You Have?

18 replies • Last post

I am curious as to what speed internet connections you have out there. I recently got a free upgrade of my DSL line to 6 megs, up from 3 and find that online casinos aren't freezing me up as much.

What are you spinning with?

I don't even know what I have, but I don't have many problems with the online casinos. When I do, it doesn't appear to be computer related, but instead it seems to be casino related. Is there a place I can look to find out what I have? lol I don't remember right now.

Cool. I will check it out tomorrow.

I don't think I ordered the fastest from my provider. Probably the next one down, but I have been pretty happy., overall.

Thanks!

You are welcome. Those are both really fast speeds. It makes me jealous!

I have UVerse and can get up to like 18 megs, but the guy said that the higher speeds arent stable.

I had Uverse and loved it, had Comcast and hope to never do business with them, now have Mediacom which sucks. I usually have to refresh websites often to even get them to connect. A lot of the videos I try to watch say "an error has occured". Can't run test.......something else isn't working. Grrrrrrr

You guys are lucky! Those are some awesome speeds.

I have ADSL2 and I get a maximum of about 10 Mbps on a good day.

Do you guys have Cable or Fiber in Australia? We have a ton of options in my town including Cable, DSL, 4G LTE, and they are building a Fiber Optic network here that is supposedly going to be capable of insane speeds, but we will see if that ever comes to fruition.

Everywhere I have lived in my state, usually only one (rarely two) place will have a monopoly on the area, so there are no choices. I really hate that. That is why I went with Comcast here for my phone and internet. However, I have not had a problem with them, and I have been very happy with their service, for the most part. 🙂

We have a mix of cabe or ADSL in most cities. In the country areas the service is worse and some people have to rely on satellite or even dial-up if they are really unlucky. The government is trying to build the NBN (National Broadband Network) which will be optical fibre to most homes. It is going to cost a lot but it will be essential infrastructure for the next century and will make things a lot better for people who don't live in the cities. Unfortunately the myopic opposition party want to stop it if they get elected.

That's awful, Ed. Broadband is going to be essential in the years to come, and people need to be able to have access to it.

I'm all about having as many options as possible. I use the services to compete against each other and get extra services or gift cards from them.

I have heard of people threatening to cancel one service, then getting the "new customer" offers from them so they don't leave. lol. I wish we had choices here, but at least I "bundle" my phone and internet.

I often think about how awful it would be if we were all forced, for some reason, to go back to dial up? LMAO! How WOULD we even survive? When my computer slows down even a little bit, now, I get impatient. How did we ever do it? I guess we just didn't know any better. lol

I can't stand slo-mo internet speed so I got a cable internet . Also it saves me money for my land line 'cause I'm using a magicjack plus, only 29.99 per year that requires fast internet connection.

PNG is 44 ms

DL Speed: 18.52 Mbps

UL Speed: 3.44 Mbps
