Speaking of Freedom of Speech

5 replies • Last post

'Slim recently posted about the Navy Seal writing the book on Bin Laden.

I have been following the reaction to the American-made You Tube movie about Muslims and Mohammed. I know the violence from this is not justified in any way, but I also hate it when someone lumps ALL of one type of people into one stereotypical category. Are all "Christians" the same? No. And I certainly would not want to be lumped into the same category as the Phelps' if I call myself a Christian.

Ambassador and three Americans killed in Libya:

Film reaction is spreading:

Not all condone what is happening. Reaction around the world:

The person who made this film is now in hiding. He is still saying the same things he said in his film.

Any thoughts on all this?

19 photos of Libyans apologizing for American deaths.

These photos alone show that not all people think the same as those who murdered those people.

Those trying to lump everyone into the same category of people are trying to create hate.

Thank you for posting those. We have to remember that we cannot lump everyone into one, very sick category. Not those of any race or ethnic background or religion.

I think the media tries to shape the story how they want us to see it, not what the factual story is. Very sad.

Oh, definitely. I learned that when they targeted the school where I worked. (Well, I knew it before, too, but that REALLY drove it home). Some of the things they were reporting were so completely off the wall and NOT true.
